I called ahead about a sew-in weave/extension and they said they could get it done. When I arrived at the salon, they quickly assessed my hair and I explained to them what I wanted, they reassured me they could do it. The lady who did my hair did a TERRIBLE job. It was only when I got home, I noticed how poorly of a job she did. The sew-in technique she used was so bad - she made several knots with the thread randomly along the tracks, she even doubled up some tracks and sewed them down, and the cornrows underneath were whack, there was even some of my own hair sticking out beneath the tracks. It was also braided and sewed in so tightly. I tried to communicate this during the hair appointment, but there seemed to be a language barrier so she didn't understand me fully. All in all, I feel like it was their first time doing something like this, but they just couldn't refuse a buck so they said they could do it. It would have been better if they had admitted that they are not experienced with doing black hair or sew-ins for that matter, because $180 has gone down the drain just like that. I ended up removing the extensions the same night when I got home after I saw how terrible it looked. The removal process was such a pain, not even Youtube videos could help me because of how poor the sew-in/threading technique was. Never again. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

I have been getting my hair Botox and blowout at Consuelos beauty shop for almost a year. It's the only salon I go to and trust with my hair. The stylist are welcoming and humble. I always leave the salon happy and not afraid to get my hair trimmed. I highly recommend you check them out you will not be disappointed.

My daughter went in for a wash and set. They kept looking at her and each other asking who's gonna do her hair no one wanted. The whole time she kept making rude noises and everyone Staring at my daughter. Her hair is thick curly. I will never go to a place who's in the urban community but can't do diverse hair. Very rude and unprofessional. Do not go here if you have thick hair, curly or cource hair.

They are nice and super attentive. Is a small place, easy to get there and they really try not to make ppl wait. They greet you as soon as you get in the door. The price is average for a Dominican hair salon. Katia the manager will make you feel at home.

I washed and conditioned my own hair and came here for just a set and flat iron. Paid over $40 (tip not included) Ridiculous!
