Classic CUTS in Sioux City, IA

The lady that cut my hair did not seem to want to be there was a little rough. Specifically asked for not to short she cut it very short. Not very happy with the service will never go back there again. One star minimum would do less if I could.

My husband was picking up Chinese food one day and there was a lady outside saying come in and get a haircut. Obviously he couldn't since he was bringing home food. Fast forward a couple of weeks, being new to town we were looking for a place to get our hair cut. I said why don't we try the place that wanted you to come in, they must take walk-in's  since she was asking you to come in. It was mid week and mid day. Only 2 ladies cutting hair, they were both finishing up and had one person in the waiting room so pretty much a ghost town compared to a lot of place's. We asked if they take walk-in's. The lady looked at us in bewilderment and said well sometimes if we're not busy. She then ask's the other stylist do you have anything.  She stammers and say's I have a color to do in awhile. So then the first stylist said so no. That was it! I said uhhh guess I'll call and make an appointment. Of course I didn't. It was pretty obvious they just didn't want to take walk-ins. They never even asked what kind of service we wanted. We were easy money, I have long hair and only wanted the bare minimum trim and my husband has a short business cut and wanted a trim. We went down the street and found Cost Cutters. They were super busy! Staff was very friendly and after a short wait got a haircut.

To start things off, the overall first impression is that the workers care about their current customers. Emphasis on current because the ones who come in while they are at work do not get checked in or welcomed upon entry. The haircuts are not the problem, but the customer care before then is. A hairstylist continued to talk to a parent whose child was having a haircut and took many pauses and waits between the talks and the cutting. This is unprofessional while customers are waiting and not getting checked in on entry. Attaining and retaining customers is one of the most important roles of service businesses. For the inexperienced and unprofessional customer service, I rate this classic cuts 1 star.
