After traveling back and forth to Chapel Hill for a year because I couldn't bear leaving my stylist (lol), I finally decided to find a local stylist. I love Aveda salons and a friend recommended this salon.
It's a woman owned business! It has such a comfortable feel and every one who works there seems genuinely happy which makes it a great place to be.
This is the perfect location because it's right across from the river. They have huge doors and they leave them open so fresh air and sunlight just pours in. The space is huge and they did a great job designing it.
I scheduled with Nancy. I came in knowing I wanted a change but I couldn't pinpoint what exactly. It seems like she waded through my mind and somehow articulated exactly what I wanted. And, needed. She did color and a serious new haircut. It's perfect! Nancy was quiet when I was quiet and engaging when I engaged.
My husband also got his haircut here recently, and saw Marissa, who specializes in men's cuts. It looks great. My sister went to Alex (the owner) and also came out looking great!

First thing's first- I am in love with my hair. I've been looking forward to getting it dyed professionally for years and used to beg my mum to no avail. Finally, I did it, and I couldn't have chosen a better salon. The interior was adorable and welcoming, and the staff were extremely pleasant. Alex and I chatted the whole time and she really made me feel at home. When she was upfront about the price of the service, I was surprised at how affordable it seemed. Although, that could be my inexperience with this kind of thing. To top it all off, I was sent a lovely personalised card and sample hair care in the mail a week later. I would absolutely go back- and I don't even live there! :)
Although my overall experience was not ideal I have to say the staff is amazing. When I walked out of the salon I was pleased with my hairstyle. If you have any issues, please please let them know. From personal experience, they worked with me and I believe everybody should have a pleasant experience.
