Canary Salon in Seattle, WA

Very unprofessional and fraudulent behavior! I had an appointment for almost 3 hours of hair services and when I reached, the salon was locked. Phone calls were going to voicemail, SMS seemed autogenerated, so there was no way to talk to anyone and salon was locked at scheduled appointment time. I waited for 20-25 mins and left when no one was arrived to open the salon. Later I see I was charged cancellation fee of 330USD! Seems like a scam to me. The booking portal is really bad as well. Was an extremely unpleasant experience and total waste of time and money.

I went in for a haircut and balayage, I showed specific pictures to my hairdresser and wanted to go blonder at the ends. The stylist decided it would be best to go all dark and then start adding blonde after we get my hair all one color. When I left I had no blonde at all and it was all dark, she told me it would lighten up after a few washes, which never happened, I ended up paying over $509 for a haircut and color that I absolutely hate right now. I wrote an email to the salon and the owner told me if I wanted a color correction that it would be an additional $475. Overly priced salon for services and a color I absolutely did not want. I did not have massive grey to cover up, which the owner is lying about. The whole point was, I asked for more blonde in my hair, touch up the top to cover any grays and keep my blonde. Instead I got an all over dark brown color with no highlights. The owner can paint the rosy picture all she wants. Bottom line, the customer is always right and I did not get what I wanted and the right thing to do would've been to fix the color at no cost but the owner did not offer this at all, nope, she said for $500 more, we will fix it! Do not recommend! And by the way, the owner did not ask me to return right after my appointment and you couldn't pay me to go back to the Canary Salon!

Both my daughters have been into canary. Haircuts and highlights and the amount of compliments they receive on their hair is ridiculous. Both of my daughters have strong opinions and they wouldn't go anywhere else. Very high recommendation. Unfortunately I don't have enough hair to worry about such things but if I did this would be my choice. Thank you for your quality. Jeff C.

Just got a wonderful pixie cut from Sarah!! I've let my hair go, since Covid, and just let it hang and I just ponytailed it or braided. what my grandmas used to do. Lol! At 66 yrs it's fully gray but had my old color on the ends. Did not bother me much, as I hardly leave the house. But the headaches from the ponytail bothered me. So took the plunge, and am so pleased and grateful! She listened to my concerns, and my unwillingness to style it, excep for special occasions. Just wanted a wash and go haircut. It's probably my favorite haircut of all time. I can't recommend enough. The salon is beautiful and spacious and everyone was so friendly. If you're ready for a new style, may I suggest Sarah? Especially for a short hair style. I honestly cannot rave about her enough. And wow, I now have just one color hair, and it looks awesome!

I was absolutely terrified to let anyone else touch my hair after a very negative and slightly traumatizing experience at a previous luxury salon. I work at a café nearby and one of their stylus, Crystal, came in and noticed I changed my hair. I told her about my experience and how I was unhappy with my results from my previous salon, she heard my concerns and told me it wasn't my fault and to book a consult with her. I am SO HAPPY I did. She asked many clarifying questions to make sure we were on the same page and helped me so much with getting a better idea of what I wanted. She made me feel so heard and comfortable and excited about the whole process. She walked me through everything and made it such a fun and enjoyable experience. It has now been a month since I've gotten my hair done and my color still looks absolutely beautiful. I look back on old photos of myself, and it took me this long to truly realize how hair can really change your confidence. So happy I went to crystal she is the absolute best
