this is absolutely the worst hair cut i've ever had!  a five year old could've done better using a chainsaw.

Crystal is a hair guru, I don't know how many times other stylists have messed up my cut/color & she has been the most helpful with accommodating my needs. Not to mention how clean & welcoming the service is every time I go there. Crystal has worked me into her schedule even when she is super busy when I've had hair nightmares from experimenting at home. She has given me advice for at home care when my hair was super damaged! I will never go somewhere else & I advise anyone who needs so hair love to go see her! My mother started going to her ( most picky woman in the world about her blonde tones) & she has never been more pleased with a hair stylist. We love crystal & we are so thankful to have her as our go to girl! She makes every client feel like a transformed goddess walking out of the salon, thank you bloom for having such a awesome atmosphere!

Like everything in Anchorage this place is located in an unassuming strip mall, but as soon as you walk in the door it's super cute, welcoming, and clean!

I learned about this place through a friend of mine, as well as a co-worker. They both told me that everyone is really sweet and suggested I try it since I was in a desperate need of a styling. So I popped in after work one day, not entirely sure if they did walk-ins or not. Maureen was there and happily greeted me. She wasn't able to get me in that night, but kindly asked if I'd be able to come back the next time she was working, which was in 2 days or suggested she schedule me for someone else the following day. I was fine with waiting the extra day since she was so nice and helpful, I even made an appointment for my boyfriend per his request (I don't tell my boyfriend he should get a haircut, if he wants to grow it out more power to him).

I showed up not knowing what kind of cut I wanted or needed. I'm the worst when it comes to getting my haircut, I always tell the stylist to surprise me. I don't do it to be mean, I do it because I completely 100% trust in them, even if I've never been to them before. It's because this is their profession and they should know more about it than me, they should understand how hair-styles work on different types of face shapes, and how hair itself is all different. Maureen seems to know her stuff!

She was a little surprised at me telling her to surprise me, so she started throwing out suggestions. I just told her whatever she thought would be best and the fact that it's hair and will grow back. She laughed and said alright! She did a great job, gave me some layers that added some volume, even gave me a little side bang type thing.

After she finished I asked her if she had time to do my eyebrows, she was able to get me right in after cutting my boyfriends hair. She did a great job with my eyebrows and was really gentle, well as gentle as you can be while ripping hot wax off of someones face.

My boyfriend has some crazy thick hair. According to him (and the floor after she was finished) she did an awesome job thinning it out and styling it for him. He was really happy with his cut.
