Best Nails in Spring Lake, NC

So we moved to NC a year ago. I have been coming here since. The last time I went in , was the final straw. I sat with the owners wife. The owner is the sweetest man. But his wife? Nope. Only if you sit there and let her do what she wants, shes a sweetheart! But the second you correct anything, it's like she turns into another person. As a customer, I feel that if I am spending my hard earned money, ATTEMPTING to relax for once, and nicely ask for a service, it shouldn't be too much to ask. But I guess I was wrong. All because I told her that the shape was off, (meanwhile I showed her a picture and ask for a certain "in between"  shape that she said she could do, but every time she tried to correct it, it wasn't right, so I nicely told her, what needed to be done. I understand working in customer service and having a customer that asks for "a lot" (which wasn't a lot because Im paying extra for a shape) but as a PROFESSIONAL, there is a way to handle it and she did the exact opposite. She ignored me, and when I kept saying anything, she got mad and more aggressive (i.e. filing so hard that my skin became raw, being rough with my hands,...). She would speak to her coworker about me and my husband who was sitting right next to me (little did they know, we understood every word they said. Thank you military lol. But yea, hurtful things were said about both of us. ) So once she finished filing my nails, she literally THREW my hand and said have a good day, got up and stormed off. My husband was with me and we were left infuriated because of what was said about us, but mainly we were left CONFUSED. Because at that point, the shape was fine, and I thought everything was good. So once she did that, I asked if I should go wash my hands now because I wasn't sure. But she literally just got up and walked away. And then the owner came over and tried to explain to me and justify as to why she was acting that way. He tried to say because the last time I said "the shape was off" ON ONE NAIL, when I got a pedicure. I even fixed it myself and she was ok with it! We laughed about it!  It did make me uncomfortable that he brought up another time when I "was unhappy" with a simple issue that was easily fixed, but thats besides the point. She was just giving terrible customer service. Like I said, I have been going for the past year. I went there throughout my whole pregnancy, I even brought my mom in because of how much I love that place. If I bring my MOTHER, you know I like you lol But that one experience was enough to turn anyone away. Im pretty tough, but that genuinely left me in tears. The owner comped my services, but at the end of the day, that doesn't fix what was done. I'm not gonna tell anyone not to go there, because the prices and the service are generally good. But I really hope that you don't catch one of them on an off day and have to deal with that. Because I feel that if you work hard, and you are going to spend your money somewhere to get a service, and  just pamper yourself (especially as a mother, we dont get days like that often) then I don't think that you should be leaving (what was supposed to be the highlight of your day) in tears and embarrassment. It was just a very sad situation. And on top of that, telling someone to express that you were unhappy with the service before paying, is ridiculous. Because when you do, you get treated horribly. So I fully understand why people will sit there and deal with bad service, and still pay for it. Because the way that I felt, Im sure no one wants to feel that way. I rarely, if ever,  leave bad reviews but this was one situation that I could NOT let go unheard. Im giving 2 stars because they have generally been sort of good to me, but the service was so bad the last time, that it really left me shook up (and pissed from what was said) there was no way I could do a full five :(

Came in as a walk in needing a fill on a Sunday afternoon. There were only 2 nail techs, so my wait was about 30min. It was worth it. Yen did a great job and she had great customer service. I don't mind a wait for quality service and Yen definitely delivered. I plan to go back. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of the outcome, so I plan to take one next time to show her work.

Do not go here!!! Worst manicure I've EVER HAD! I just got a fill and they charged me $50 when it should have been $35. The thumbs are completely uneven. I asked for oval and she gave me an uneven almond shape. Also looks very sloppy. Save your money and don't go here.

I get great service every time I go there.  I started going there over a year now and I haven't been anywhere else since.  I get pedi and a gel fill everytime. They take their time to get it right and to make sure you're satisfied.  Very friendly staff. Love this place!

Terrible! I think nail salons give me the new person every time! I went in for a full set with gel polish. The nails were so sloppy and looked awful. I could have complained and refused to pay but I'm not that person.

Also - the polish must have been old - it was streaky. The woman even called two people over to look at it. To be honest I don't know what was said because they didn't do anything about it.

$50 is a lot of money especially considering I had to go somewhere else after that to get it fixed. I won't be back.
