Bellaluxe Nail and Spa Ellicott City in Ellicott City, MD

I love this salon. I have been going to them since they first opened. The salon is always spotless, the owners knows me and most patrons by name and always welcome us when we walk in. I alway have my nails dip with a french manicure and I fine that they are more reasonable in price than most other salons. I know this because sometimes I need to get my nails done right away and I don't have time to drive to EC. so I will walk into places close to where I live. They are alway more pricy. What's really important to me is I never have to wait when I have an appointment. They take me right on time. And ladies do make an appointment because they are always busy. Carolyn

6/15/23: I asked to schedule a mani-pedi. They said they had time right then to bring me back. Got asked by 3 people what i was getting, including my technician. Pedi was relaxing, but i said 2 times that i picked out a specific color from the front, but the technician used a color that was left there from the last client anyways. could tell that the technician didnt like the design i wanted to do. I wanted a french with a different color. I had a photo reference. The technician was able to do the design for the most part. Some color is missing or not cleaned up enough on the sides of some of the nails. The technician was a little rough with my fingers, and filed two of my nails off center, so i had to fix them when i got home. They also didnt fully separate the hardened gel from the fingers on one hand. I felt rushed, looked down on and not entirely listened to when it came to what i wanted for my nails. Im glad i had a gift card, because i was already barely able to afford the services. 6/18/23 update: got an automated message asking what could be done to improve my experience, asked for a refund. It was ignored, so i asked again, and i got an outomated response saying they "dont take fb appointments anymore".

I went back again hoping for a different experience. I had a different technician do a French manicure. Once again they did a poor job. They even acknowledged they did a poor job but did nothing to fix it. They said they only knew how to do Gel and I should have gotten gel. What really bothered me was that they made me pay before I started my nails and I gave them a generous tip. This type of service is unacceptable.

I'm so angry with the person who did my nails yesterday. I am usually very happy with my nails at this place but Lena- is not the best. First of all she was kinda mean and impatient. She argued with me when I told her what I wanted every step of the way. I don't know why I let her continue to do my nails. Long story short- she put my polish on so thick that even after taking an eternity to do my manicure- this happened. AND she touched my finger nails (gel polish) and smudged them and was surprised that this happened! She might have been having an off day but that was an expensive off day for me- and now I'm just angry.
