I too am surprised at the negative reviews. I went in for a trim and found the stylist genuine and friendly. Not to mention my cut was on point even though I didn't bring a picture. I live in the City and came here because my boyfriend lives nearby. Despite it being a bit out of my way, I would definitely make this a place to go to in the future.
Had a little problem with my hair coloring--spoke with Rebecca (manager). She was great--booked an appointment for me to have the color fixed, consulted with the stylist who usually colors my hair for her input, the owner came out to make sure I was happy with the recolor, gave me a lovely gift. They really went above and beyond anything I would have expected. I've tried other salons closer to home, but will drive the half hour to get to Impressions--they are that good.
Lol! I saw the "great" google reviews so I decided to give this place a call. The receptionist is a freakin' rude b****!!!! Immediate turn off! She hung up on me and talks to me with attitude for absolutely no reason. Sounds like she hates her job and doesn't want to be there. These yelp reviews sounds more like the reviews they deserve. And I won't try their rude receptionist hiring salon ever. PS- Tip to the salon owner/manager: I recommend you hire a receptionist with better customer service. Not one that will have a terrible attitude (for literally absolute no reason) and hangs up on you. Receptionist is the first person people see and talk to over the phone. They're like the first impression of your salon. So this is the reason why I give you one star.
