Actually the worst customer service I've ever received. This place is a scam. Do not go here they will ruin your hair.

I recently visited the Aveda hair salon for a partial highlight and trim. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. Not only did they charge me a hefty $350 for the services, but the partial highlight turned out to be a disaster, leaving my hair with three different colors that looked nothing like what I had requested. When I expressed my concerns and asked for a correction, I was shocked to hear that they wanted an additional $150 to fix the mess they had created. This felt like an attempt to squeeze more money out of me, rather than taking responsibility for their mistake. Overall, my experience with Aveda was nothing short of a scam, with subpar results and a lack of customer service. I would strongly advise against trusting them with your hair, as it was a costly and disappointing experience ** edit to reply They are completely lying the partial highlight was only the top of my of my head and it didn't match the bottom at all. A partial highlight is less foils but the entire length of the hair. Who does foils on half of your head??? Also they did not offer to fix it. They only offered to tone and darken it. That is a complete waste of $350. They also coerced me into a $95 haircut when I literally asked for a trim. Such a joke!

I got in quickly on Sunday morning, called ahead to check for availability, and was in the chair within a half hour! My stylist, Jess, was friendly and looked at the pictures I brought in and gave great feedback to let me know she understood the look I wanted and that I like my hair to be low maintenance! She did a great job and achieved the desired effect with my cut and highlights! It was a birthday present to myself to go to Aveda, whereas I normally go to a certain chain haircutter place, which had recently disappointed me with the haircut I got. Aveda is a brand I'm familiar and comfortable with so it feels good to treat myself and visit this salon. I've been here several times, including to get my hair cut and highlighted before my wedding day, and have had a great experience each time!

I've been a client at Aveda Belle Isle for several years and I LOVE how Sarah does my hair. She's great with blondes and gives amazing color - I come every couple of months, spend hundreds of dollars each time, and drive 40 mins each way to see her. However, the owner here is extremely rude and has lost my business indefinitely. Every time I call and he answers the phone he's condescending. I've noticed it over the years and always feel icky after our interactions but I've let it go because I love Sarah so much and trust her with my hair. Today I had to call to reschedule my appointment for tomorrow because my 3 month old daughter is in the hospital. I'm 3 months postpartum with twins and have been waiting months for the chance to get my hair touched up by Sarah. Unfortunately we obviously didn't expect to be in the hospital this week. When I asked to reschedule my appointment because of this, the owner said he would cancel for me. I asked if he could see if Sarah had openings for a different day, when I know my daughter will be out, and he said "when you're done with your emergency we'd be happy to book you." I'm sitting in a hospital room at CHOC with my baby, trying to organize my life outside of here, and instead of having any empathy or kindness (not to mention consideration for his employee's business), he was rude and blunt with me and refused to book me again when I blatantly asked to be booked. I love Sarah and am sad to no longer see her but this interaction was the final nail in the coffin and I can't support a business that profits while treating customers so poorly during a trying time in their lives. I'd rather find a place closer to me with better values from the owners.

I would not recommend this salon. Some how my review got taken down that I had uploaded in 2019 when I get my blonde done with aveda it was horrible and when I messaged the owner she demanded that I take down my review and that she will take a look at my hair and see what we can do. When I got to the salon she did nothing and said that the stylist did the best to her ability but my hair was orange she didn't even add a toner to it. And not to mention the super uneven haircut
