Aurora Salon in Tewksbury, MA

I am at a loss for words! I used to get wonderful service here when Sarah worked here. She no longer works here so I decided to try a new stylist, Courtney. She is new and recently just graduated with her hair license - well, it certainly shows!! I had an appointment for 1:00 PM and didn't get seated in a chair until 1:47! I found that to be totally inconsiderate. I wanted a color, cut & blow dry and had specifically asked if enough time would allow for a color treatment. She said yes, but did a half ass job from start to finish. My roots are way brighter than the rest of my hair, so I have noticeably uneven hair color. She was in a hurry to leave since her boyfriend was waiting for her to end her shift from work so she did a quick blow dry. I couldn't believe she even let me leave the salon looking the way I did. I came home to find out the entire back of my shirt was stained with hair dye. I took a shower the following morning and my hair bled out so much dye that my bath tub and towel stained. I find this experience so unfortunate since the salon itself is really nice. They just need more qualified stylists.

I went to Aurora for the first time for a microdermabrasion, it was amazing. The staff was very professional from the confirmation call to my check out. I arrived early, during my wait 3 different people came over to me to see if I needed a drink or anything.Once Jessica, the esthetician, was ready for me she brought me into the room and explained everything she would be doing. During the procedure she talked about my skin and different things I could do to imporve it, she never pushed that I come back or products. It was a very pleasant experience. I rebooked another appointment and am excited about going back. This is a very professional salon.

I wanted to try a new place to get my eyebrows waxed a couple months ago and came to aurora. I've gotten waxed by them twice before by two different people each time and i was very satisfied. Well, yesterday (christmas eve morning) i went in for a brow wax before the holidays and left horrified by the results. The girl who did my wax was quiet, young and didn't seem confident which made me nervous to begin with. Before she waxed me i told her a couple requests: i like them on the skinny side and I'm trying to let them grow in in the middle because 2 years ago they were waxed too far apart and I'm petrified that would happen again. When she was waxing me it felt like she was taking out hairs that have never come out before! Anyway, she was done and i left, looked in my car mirror and panicked! She pretty much waxed my whole eyebrow off and one of them had a funky shape to it. She waxed the middle so they look too far apart, AND she waxed the ends and half of my eyebrow is gone. I've had my eyebrows done for about 8 years now and never ever been so upset and unsatisfied. Needless to say my Christmas Eve and Christmas was ruined by this, I'm so upset. I called back and talked to the assistant manager who gave me a free thing that is suppose to help my hair grow back which was nice. I'm just praying my hair grows back in those places that took me 2 years to grow back before!! Even my boyfriend notices how bad they are, and he is a guy! I won't be returning to this salon and wouldn't recommend it to any of my friends or family unless they specifically request a very experience stylist.

I have been coming to Aurora for years and I love it! When I first started going there a girl did my hair and she ended up leaving the salon a while later. I followed her to her new salon thinking that I would receive the same great service and cuts, well I was wrong. I ended up going back to Aurora and booked with someone new. The first few times I went there my color was not great, but they were always very pleasant and willing to fix any problem I had. They ended up hiring Jordan and I am so glad they did. Every time I go to get my hair colored he is super friendly and does a great job. If you are ever in need of a great foil and cut I would highly recommend calling and scheduling an appointment with Jordan.

I started coming to aurora about 2 months ago. I was very reluctant to try a new salon. Could not find a good stylist, until I went to aurora. I was going to Nashua Hampshire and had to find a place local. Michele, my stylist took time to listen to what look I was hoping to achieve. She was extremely helpful and made sure I understood it would take a few visits to grow in the style I wanted. Did I mention I hacked my hair prior to Michele. she nailed my cut and color the 1st time. I've been 3 more times since then and my hair gets better every time. I asked her to use her expertise in choosing my color. I'm so pleased I did. In addition, the staff and environment is relaxing and carefree. I strongly suggest you make appt. with Michele and you will get your dream cut and color. Wanda
