I made an appointment for a pedicure and gel polish change. I was placed with Jada. She seemed to struggle with setting up the water. I asked to keep my nails square. She cut my nails  too short and now they can't be square. Her hair is super long and kept falling on my toes in the way. I asked her if she could tie her hair back and she said she would but never did. She seemed like she didn't know how to clip my cuticles. She just did hand motions like I was not watching. Someone came in after me was finished and I was still getting filed. After an hour of filing, I have crooked, filed too short nails. I asked her to stop.

The only other tech saw my concern and came and saw what happened. She said I can't give you back you length, but I will fix it the best I can for you. I felt more confident in the 2nd tech. But there were errors still. I asked for regular polish and gel was applied and I had to stop her. The errors in the pedicure caused them to ask me if I still wanted my nails done due to time. If I knew it was going to be a 2 hr basic pedicure, I would not have gotten a pedicure and just my nails serviced.

My nails turned out OK. I'm not sure I'll be back. I surely would like to since it's between work and home. But the quest to find a shop will have to continue I guess.

Great place! I have been going almost a year. I have gone from a relaxer with medium length hair to very short natural hair and my stylist, Z'Marie, has been very accommodating.  She is versatile and gives a good cut.  She is not too aggressive on using chemicals and is careful to discourage over use, which I respect. She is efficient and the length of my appointments is very reasonable. When I inquire about setting up an appointment, she is quick to respond and get me in quickly.  I decided to let her do my tender headed 6-year-old granddaughter's hair. Z'Marie was soooo patient with the screaming, crying child. She had a silk press. And my granddaughter looks beautiful.  Z'Marie is one of those stylists who is very experienced and comfortable doing all kinds of things.  The atmosphere is professional and the stylists seem to get along.  Highly recommend.

I have used one stylist in particular. (KNENGE) My last experience was the worst and my previous experiences felt as though the only thing the stylist was interested in was getting the most money for the service.  
I went in for a relaxer.  I have soft hair and I only relax 3 times yearly.  My hair is naurally curly so like most African American women it is about relaxing the curl.  The stylist wanted to give me a virgin perm on top of my already permanent blonde hightlights that she by the way, gave me.  When I said no, she replied the cost would be $85.  I was fine with that.  I asked for a demi color for my hairline and crown...that cost was 25.  This was not a problem for me.  The problem was that the stylist applied the relaxer, did not smooth it, and afterwards, told me that she did not relax all of my new growth with was about 3 or 4 inches.  She further stated that I had 8 inches of new growth.  I am 68 yrs old, and my hair has not grown 8 inches since Kindergarten!!  But if she was not going to relax all of my new growth, which she DID NOT, I should have been informed that this was the case.  I have never heard of a person giving a relaxer and telling you afterwards, I did not relax your all of your new growth.  FURTHER, she applied the color to my hair and left me sitting without a plastic bag.  I think that's pretty standard!! From my determination approximately one inch of my new growth was relaxed.    I do NOT RECCOMMEND THIS STYLIST.  In my opinion, she is a stone crook!!

Very cool salon located in Northlake Mall. Very clean and friendly staff. Chinita is my Stylist for knotless braids. $225 for knotless braids. Very affordable style that will last for at least a month. Mask are required and  temperature check at the door. There are plenty of stylist here to help you achieve your desired look.
