Just called to see if they had any walk ins available and the guy who picked up was so rude and a rush to hang up. Literally only spoke to him for 5 seconds. I was excited to try out the salon but I won't recommend this place to anyone. First impressions are important especially for a business.
I had a first time appt with someone that came highly recommended to me. I show up 10 min early so I got to look around the building. It looks very nice and everyone can decorate their own suite to their liking. Unfortunately the stylist I was supposed to see didn't show up. She said she thought she called me to cancel but she didnt. I needed service really badly because I'm going out of town after work. I was drawn into a suite where a nice lady took me in said was happy to do my hair.
I have been soliciting recommendations for a salon that SPECIALIZES in African American Hair since I arrived in Charlotte in April. I'm glad that my husband's co-worker recommended a stylist located inside of this building. For those not familiar with the concept (because this was new to me, as well), this is pretty much a collection of salons and barbershops (kind of like an office building for salons and barbers). ALL of the barbers and stylists that I encountered specialize in African American hair. My stylist's name is Stephanie and she owns Glamour Girls (Suite A116). Her suite is private (as they all seem to be), very clean, and she does an awesome job on my hair. Also, coming from Buckhead in Atlanta, I found pricing very reasonable.
Don't be discouraged if you don't find a number for the building. I'd suggest driving by this place. You will not be disappointed.
