Amore Nails and Spa in Meridian, ID

$40 for a pedicure. Tools were on a towel on the floor. Massaged my feet & legs well but didn't wipe the lotion from my legs or nails. Didn't clean under my nails or clean them with alcohol. Lady was nice but I wouldn't recommend.

I've been looking for a new nail place and liked the reviews for Amore that I found online. Easily booked via their website and had my first appointment with Jocelyn today. She gave me a couple different options for fill types and I went with the structured gel- she said it would work well on my shorter nails. She did a great job applying the gel and color and only took about 45 minutes- I was worried it would take much longer. I was very pleased with what I got for the price I paid and rebooked before I left.

I had a second gal do my pedicure and I was disappointed with that service. They polished my nails first which I didn't mind, but she never offered to trim my nails. When I told her I struggled with ingrown toenails she said she wouldn't be able to fix that. The massage was short and nothing special. Less than forty minutes and not worth the higher price. I'll be back for nails, but my search for a good pedicure continues.

Since moving from Vegas it was sooo hard to find a nail salon that I loved being at and had good quality work. Found this place on Instagram and my first appointment to my most recent appointment I've been very pleased and have loved the girls inside. They always ask about my family and events! Love you guys!

The weirdest pedicure set-up - they offer you to sit in the chair with your feet in the water after they finish your pedicure, so you're just getting a dry pedicure while your foot is in someone's lap. Additionally,  2 of my acrylics broke or fell off within 7 days - this has never happened before. Low quality that is not justified by the price. I'm used to paying around $90 for my acrylics, but it just not worth it here. Krin was stand-offish but the other girls had better customer service. Wouldn't come back. My friend had Melissa R, and her full set of a single color of acrylics (which should be the easiest since there were no designs or complicated work, just straight up the same single solid color for all nails) was done so poorly she started crying once we left, and I don't blame her. Her nails had bumps in them and did not look professional.

So today was my 2nd time. I loved this place the 1st time. I got a full set 2 weeks ago & the nail tech was super friendly, funny & it was awesome. I went in today to have my acrylic nails taken off cause I'm going camping. I figured she would soak them & then shave them off.... Well no. She pulled them off one by one with one of the glue on nails. It was so painful. It shredded my actual bail & hurt so bad. I tried to laugh it off cause I was embarrassed while she proceed to ask me "do you ever use Lotion.... your nails are so brittle" I was embarrassed. I get nails cause my natural "nail" sucks. They don't grow and I'm insecure about my hands. She couldn't get 2 off, she just shaved them down thin. I had to pull one off myself & it hurt. I honestly am super bummed because I like this nail salon. But I feel like there's a better way to get nails off without hurting the client on every finger, then proceeding to tell them the pain is part of getting them done.

I'm at home & my fingers are in so much pain. She didn't paint them either (I asked for a manicure before I went in) to hide my nail and she said my nails were too brittle. Super disappointed.
