All Occasions Hair Salon in Greenfield, IN

I have searched for a decent stylist since moving to my current location. Today, I got online and done some research and found All Occasions Hair Salon. They seemed to have good reviews. Thus, I had made an appointment with the receptionist to have my haircut and died, and my eyes waxed. The stylist messaged me and ask me if she could move my appointment from 4:30pm(EST) to 3:00pm(EST). I agreed and moved my schedule around to make sure I could make the appointment. However, as I was about to leave the house for the appointment the stylist messaged me again. This time asking if she could reschedule the appointment for another day and time, as she was running behind schedule. I then had to cancel the appointment as I do not have much free time available with my rather hectic work schedule and I did not want to rush the stylist and risk her making a mistake with my hair or eyes.  I have spent two hours calling every salon in my area, trying to get a appointment today. My 15 year anniversary is right around the concern, the last one before my husband goes over seas for who knows how long.  However, i have had no luck and now for my 15 year anniversary I get to go to dinner with my husband with scraggly hair, grays and a unibrow. I would not recommend a salon that can't even do the basic business techniques, i.e.,  proper professional scheduling.

My experience at all acasions hair salon was just amazing Dawn Wooten Brown did everything i asked for perfectly and the place is clean and nice well kept.

All Occasions Hair Salon is an amazing place! They professionally dye, care for, and style hair. They do eyebrow waxing, and nails as well. The people that work there try to talk to others and make them feel at home. The people are very fun to talk to, which is part of the reason I love this place so much! My hairstylist is Ashton, and she does amazing on my hair every single time. Both my Mom and I have built a friendship between each other. Only once my hair didn't turn out the way I thought it would, but I loved it even more! Ashton is so very nice to everyone, and once, she gave me an extra tube of hair dye for when the color faded out. It was so nice of her to do! The decor on the inside screams hair salon as well! The salon chairs are black, and there are multiple chairs. In the back, there are hair washing sinks. This is where they wash your hair and wax eyebrows. Next to these sinks is the mani pedi chair. In front of this, is the desk that they do nails. Overall, this place is amazing, and the people that work there are so nice!

I went to this salon to get my hair highlighted and Shantel completed destroyed my hair. I had showed her photos of what I wanted and she said that she could do it. Biggest mistake ever! She styled my hair after coloring it so I did not notice any of it until I got home and I took pictures and told her my concerns. She told me that foil marks, and unevenness will go away within a week. After a few more days passed I had to go elsewhere and spend more money to get it fixed. I sent her an email expressing my concerns and included pictures. She never replied. I work hard for my money and what she did cost me $160 not to mention what I paid to get it fixed else where. Do not make the same mistake I did.

I was in town for an event and called to schedule a blowout. I was happy to find them because they were close to where I was staying and had Monday hours. The woman who answered the phone confirmed that they are open on Mondays, but seemed confused by the term "blowout." Before I could explain, she transferred me to someone who asked no questions but took my name and set a time. After hanging up, I realized they hadn't asked me for my phone number, but I assumed that wasn't the protocol. I arrived 10 minutes before my scheduled appointment to find the salon dark. I waited 15 minutes and called the main number, but no one answered. Because I was in town for a special event and had been counting on this appointment, I had to rush to figure out a plan B, but I did leave a voicemail asking for a call back (and left my number). I have heard nothing back. I realize that in not insisting that they take my number at the outset, I was setting myself up for miscommunication in the case of a cancellation. However, I did request a call back to explain what had happened and did not receive a response. My assumption is they think that because I am from out of town, good customer service in the form of a follow up phone explanation is unnecessary. This is why I am writing their very first Yelp review and, unfortunately for them, it is extremely negative.
