7th Day Beauty in Portland, OR

The service I receive at 7th Day Beauty is not great.  It is fantastic.  Abbi runs a very clean spa and offers a variety of services.  Her manicures and pedicures are the best I have ever received.  She is patient, has excellent attention to detail, uses high quality products, and she works efficiently but I never feel she is in a rush.  Many salons are on a tight schedule and the manicures and pedicures are not well-done.  This is not a nail mill.  7th Day takes pride in their salon and offers quality and professional services while making the visit fun and leaving my feet and fingers feeling fantastic.

I have seeing Abby for over a year now and she is great. She has quick turn around response when I request  my appointments online and she is very accommodating. She is both personable and professional and her salon is clean and stylish. I always feel confident and comfortable with every appointment. Two thumbs up.

Let's begin with the good. Groupon brought me here for a wax so it was affordable. She was very fast. She wasn't rude. ..it's all downhill from here. I've gotten the same wax procedure every month for the last 16 years and this was the second worst experience I've had (the worst saw the lady trying to apply burning hot wax down there while falling over drunk). I'm so used to being waxed I barely feel it anymore but this was pain! She was fast yes but - two hours later I'm in Whole Foods and can't walk normally. She engaged in conversation yes but... mostly with herself. She slapped that wax on places it shouldn't have been and ripped it off faster and without the slightest acknowledgement or consideration or professionalism. Oh and did I mention I have an hours' worth of tweezing in front of me?? So many little hairs left. She was a nice enough human being, but go to her for waxing?! Not if she was the last person who offered the service in all of Oregon... and it was free! No. Hell no!

***Edit - Upon seeing this, she called to make it right. THAT IS professionalism. And that is a nice human being. Still sore and have to tweeze? Yes. But do I like her? ...Yes.

Holy Brazilian Wax! I've only been here for one service but have already booked my next maintenance appointment and can't wait to try out their other services.

Currently, I'm 9 months pregnant, can't see anything below my waist & had no idea that pregnant women experience EXTRA pain during waxes.

Abigail (owner and beauty extraordinaire) was professional, sweet, and most importantly, QUICK!  I was in and out of there in a flash and immediately booked another one.

Who knows... if this baby doesn't come out soon, I may be back next week for a prenatal massage!

Went in for a simple wax and it was great! The space is beautiful and I felt very comfortable. Plan to go back for other services.
