Last Wednesday I spent $50 for a permanent. When she was removing the rods it did not seem to be curly, and I told her. She said "It will be fine". Three days later after washing, I have no curl what so ever. Not going back again, ever.
Took my daughter to Dawn's for a trim, she has long straight hair, just wasn't the ends trimmed. She left one side 2 inches longer than the other, I had to keep telling her what to trim to even it up. Will not be returning.
Dawn, gives me the cut that is right for me... each time I go. She always greets me with a smile and makes me feel appreciated as a person, not just a client.
Once, when arranging an appointment Dawn recommended that I just "drop in" after 1PM. In the later afternoon hours there is very little waiting time (less than 15 minutes) for a "drop in" hair cut.
Have been seeing Dawn for at least five years, and would not think of going anywhere else.
Before I moved away, Dawn was my go-to hair person. She does a good job and by the steady flow of customers into the tiny salon, I'm not the only one that feels that way. She does a lot of men's hair cuts. Minus one star for the poorly decorated walls and crappy curtains and too hot in the summer. As always, I'm a fan of supporting the owner-operator local business. Haircut prices are about $15 for men. I paid about $120 for a cut and foil color but it has been awhile since I've been to her.
