This is a review for Cara Bella Studio in Austin (Bee Cave). Disappointment is an understatement. I took the day off from work to get my eyelashes done before an important upcoming event this weekend. I wish I had taken the time to read these reviews before purchasing a groupon and scheduling my appt at Cara Bella. I had an appointment scheduled (and confirmed via email and text) but when I arrived nobody was there and the door was locked. I waited for 30 minutes and called 3x and left voicemails but STILL have not heard back from Regina about why she never showed up. It's clear from the other reviews that she does not value potential clients who purchase a Groupon for her services, which begs the question, why even offer a groupon if you're just going to treat the people who buy them with such disdain? I originally gave her the benefit of the doubt that some sort of emergency came up but after reading these reviews it's clear this is how she operates her business. So unprofessional that Regina doesn't bother with the courtesy of a call back to apologize and an offer to reschedule.

I am having an engagement party tonight so I took off from work to drive to Bee Caves from downtown to get a spray tan. I showed up at the studio and no one was there. I tried calling the number and no one answered (no one ever answers the phone). I waited outside for 10 mins only to see that I got an email cancellation notice 5 mins before my appointment was supposed to start. Not even sure how they are still on groupon as the place looks to be always closed.

AVOID! Go anywhere else but here. Kimberly gave me eyelash extensions. I've had them done before by someone else at another location and they were perfectly fine. I went to Kimberly this time and she accidentally glued a few lash extensions to my skin instead of the eye lash. She also accidentally glued an extension to two natural lashes instead of one. These were very painful and caused redness where they were accidentally placed on the skin. I was not given a refund or offered any help with this mishap. I had to go to someone else to remove them which took a lengthy amount of time since the extensions were glued to my skin. Avoid this women like the plague.

Since this was my first experience with lash extensions, I was quite excited to be getting them.
That is, once I finally was able to make an appointment. I must have called twice a day for at least a week always getting a voicemail message. I finally got through and made my appointment. Later, when I was there for my appointment, she said, "oh, it's really better to text." It would have been nice to hear that on the voice message i received when I called.

I was 15 minutes late--only because her studio is so hard to find. I was in the area 20 minutes early for my appointment, and I drove around all that time looking for this very obscure, out of the way place. It's NOT easy to find!

Since I was late, Regina said she would do what she could in that time.It was the middle of the day, and no one else was in the shop.  About mid way through the appointment, her boyfriend (husband?) came in and began talking about when they might be able to get out of there. I felt like I was really holding her up, and I was the one who had paid for this appointment?!

I haven't even gotten to the lashes themselves. She really didn't finish up with my lashes because she said my eyes were watering too badly (and she was ready to get out of there). When she "finished" they (what were there) looked beautiful, but they began falling out that evening, and continued to fall out over the next week. I did have a Groupon, so I didn't have to pay full price. I definitely got a not full price set of lashes.

I have found a salon nearer to my house, that is cheaper even without a Groupon and the lashes look full and fabulous. Must say, I won't be going back to Cara Bella.
