4400 Hair Salon in Tucson, AZ

I recently moved back to Tucson. Called the Studio and was able to get an appointment with Greg. Greg did an amazing job! Very friendly and listened to what I wanted. Looking forward to my next haircut.

I tried this salon out - it's a pretty nice place, and the person who cut my hair was nice enough. I don't want to mention anyone by name because that doesn't feel right, but what I will do is tell you my story: I brought in a picture of a short, full hair style (something I've done for years). What I ended with is a style that cut off all my curls via really short 4-5 inch layers on the sides (something I asked not to have, even mentioning beforehand how much I didn't like a past layered haircut - the response I received was "Yes, you have fine hair so that wouldn't be good for you" so I thought we were on the same page, but apparently not). I ended up with my hair thinned out and no ability now to create volume because of the short layers (I estimate that it will take about a year to grow those out). No layers in a specific area means just that. Once it was done there was no point in complaining about it - it's not like it could be changed. My only recourse now is to pass on a heartfelt plea to all hairstyles everywhere: When a new client that is an unknown quantity is in your chair please use caution rather than recklessness. You can always cut more, but you simply can't add it back again. Most people know what looks good on them and what doesn't, so please honor that request even if you think professionally that you know better. Having a haircut you don't like is similar to wearing a dress you hate - for months.

I followed my hair stylist, Amber, here from another studio. No regrets! Amber alway does a great job on my color and cut, hiding all the of my grays and my stubborn skunk spot for up to 2 months! My cut itself is easy and manageable, and super easy to blow out before I run out the door every morning, which is a surprisingly difficult thing to get my hair to do. But Amber has managed to tame my mop. The studio itself is large and up to date. I feel very comfortable here.

I thought I would get a good haircut since I was paying a premium price, but not the case. I showed the sylist, Lu Pipentacos a picture of what I wanted. I ended up with a hair cut that was very short, about two it three inches shorter than the picture and completely different angles. No, I don't expect to look like the girl in the picture, but I do expect my hair to have similar length and shape. One side is longer than the other too. Looks like I'll have to go somewhere else to have it evened up and wait a couple months until it's long enough again to get it cut right.

This is the best place for a cut color perm and managing healthy hair. Ask for Krista she a miracle worker no one better.
