Velvet Beauty Studio in Tucson, AZ

I don't know why I haven't reviewed this place before. When I decided to go from long hair to short, I asked my neighbor where she had her hair done. She recommended Velvet, as she had followed Cynthia (who works there) from another salon, and felt she was the best. So I made an appointment with Cynthia. From the minute I walked in, I was impressed with Cynthia. She asked me what I wanted to do with my hair and I told her I was going to trust her to get it right. She spent a long time cutting my hair, working with it until she felt it was right for my hair texture. It was perfect! I go back every 4 weeks, working my vacations around my haircuts. My hair grows very quickly some months, slowly other months. Cynthia always give me the cut that works for me. She has a great sense of humor, is very empathetic and professional. I would recommend Cynthia to anyone. You'll be greeted, and sent on your way, with a smile and a hug.

Me & my daughter get our hair & nails done here for many years now. Cynthia our hairstyle is amazing and she's the best. Leslie is our nail tech and she is amazing too! I would highly recommend both of these wonderful ladies. The staff in this salon is awesome.... We love it!

Rating this place one star because of three bad experiences. 1st time: A hairdresser cut my Mom's hair shorter than what she wanted and gave her uneven layers. 2nd time: The owner of this salon talked on the phone almost the entire time during my niece's haircut. When she wasn't talking on the phone she was leaving my niece in the chair for long periods of time. Absolutely unprofessional. 3rd and last time going to this salon: They scheduled an appointment with my Mom for 5pm (they close at 6). Two workers are there, saw my Mom walk in and didn't say one word to her. She waited there for 20 minutes until she walked out. The stylists and owner are unprofessional, rude and they don't actively listen to their customers.

This studio is a very unique place that I enjoy going to. Every woman who works in this place enjoy what they do and seek pleasure when providing you with the service you wanting to get. They support their coworkers and help them achieve the goals they are trying to reach. This studio is one place that does not show any rivalry within the store. These women all enjoy what they do and enjoy going to work everyday. From there nail techs to their hair stylist everyone is willing to help you out If your insurer about it. Their prices are something that you you will brag about because the quality of work that you get. At the end of the day this is one place that I can truly highly recommend without any questions or concerns about that person coming back to me if you don't believe me just give him a call ask about prices or even just swing by when you're in the area I can personally promise you you won't be let down let down unless they're closed so check the hours because each worker has their own keys because they work their own hours.
