Spent a bit of time looking for a salon until I found 20 Volume Salon. After some time contemplating I finally booked with Bailey (who was amazing), as a new customer. Bailey has an awesome welcoming vibe and did amazing job cutting a huge chunk of my hair. I will definitely be back

I was super disappointed in my hair after I left this Salon. I waited almost a month to get in with Veronica an "advance stylist" and left feeling super bummed about the color and application of my "full head" of highlights. To make matters worse I even came in per their suggestion for a consultation to make sure the icy blonde I wanted was a possibility. I have naturally blonde hair so this wasn't a massive undertaking. After looking at my reference photos and my hair Veronica said " no problem I can do this." So I came back a few weeks later for my apt and left it DARK roots all around my face, fat chunks of highlights, and a golden tone all over ( i wanted icey ) While I was sitting in the chair she got hair dye on my face 3 separate times just slopping it on without much attention to detail. I had to keep wiping it off and at no point was there an " oops sorry" At the shampoo bowl for the first rise out, I was not given a neck towel so my ENTIRE back from neck to my butt was soaking wet and freezing for the remainder of apt. The water was always freezing cold, super high pressure, and "shamoo" ( which is usually my fave part was NOT even close to relaxing) Everything was just done with very little care for the client's comfort. Once my hair was dried I kindly told her it was not blonde enough or like the photo I showed her and she said I was a "blonde-orexic" and that "its blonde enough" Well... No mam I just wanted my hair like the photo I showed you and if you thought that was too blonde then you could have said no. I mentioned the color was not to my liking a few times and not ONCE did she offer to add more highlights or fix it. I paid $270 for that apt and STILL tipped $50 regretting so. I then went home to take a closer look at home and that's when I was shocked at how bad the application was! I took photos and sent them to Veronica asking nicely, of course if I could come in to get these areas corrected ( see pics below) and she never got back to me. I reached out to the owner of the salon via e-mail and FB with no response and waited over a week so overall I get the feeling that this salon does not care about its clients. I do not have the money to get my hair done again by someone else so I guess this is what I am stuck with for the next 5 months till I can get back in with someone else. -Take your money elsewhere. LAST pic in the collection is what I wanted the rest of them are what I got.

Location is convenient. Setting up the appointment for my first visit proved to be a series of questions and challenges. I requested an experienced hair colorist. Upon my first visit I was set up with a "new coorist". It was her FIRST day. Really ? I am a new client and my service wasn't an easy one. I had a root touch up and a foil, gloss and a cut. Now moving onto the environment. The Environment is very sterile, low light, very cold.. like the air is probablyset at 60 degrees. The staff at the time were not so welcoming for either visit. The first visit, with the first day colorist, her name was Tina... oh my sweet Lord.. my hair end up ok.. but opposite of really what I wanted. I think she was very nervous and the "younger" girls I sensed were making her uncomfortable... so I left feeling like I needed to be understanding vs critical. My haircut was a good cut. My touch up was ok, the highlights weren't highlights but more low lights... too dark. Tina was nice. So I thought , she needs to learn more about me and she will get it right the next time. Here is where is gets interesting. Six weeks later.. my appointment wasn't confirmed. I typically go to appointments for my hair on my day off work. So I schedule my entire day around my hair. I call early morning of my appointment. I can the disengaged person on the other end... I say .. Hi.. I never received a confirmation text or call for appointment today.... the girl on the other end.. puts me on hold. She gets back on.. ask me my name ... she then puts me on hold again... five minutes later. Ma'am I'm so sorry but Tina quit. We forgot to call you. Let me reschedule with one of our "senior colorist" asap. So after another five minutes of going through appointments, I was scheduled two weeks later. This time a text confirmed and a call for my appointment and a credit supposed courteousy credit of 50.00 towards my bill. Oh by the way. My first visit was 445.00 w/out the tip. I get to my second and last appointment with Maricella or whatever her name is that has raving reviews and was excited to maybe leave with what I would at.min like... or hopefully love. OH MY GOODNESS... FORGET ABOUT IT!!!! I looked like someone straight out of beauty school with limited to no experience did my hair. And trust you /me, I experienced that many years ago when I had my hair done at a beauty school in my teens. Except this might have topped that.. my hair not only had the low.lights still but now it had highlights (three different colors and she died my roots some awful orange blond color that didn't match the rest of my hair. She then tried to hide it by masking it with a toner that only made the old blond highlights more gold while others part were ashy green color. I actually love gold but what she did wasn't very becoming...it was awful, just awful. It took everything within me to not cry. When I expressed my dislike, she had The audacity to tell me that Tina really messed my hair up and what she did wasto fix what tina did. It would be a transition process. Uuum sorry, I'll take what Tina did over what you did any day. I was left with literally color bands in my hair, roots a different color than the remainder if any of the colors in my hair, one side.if my head had.more highlights than the other. Hight lights were were uneven one. One side was a sixteenth of an inch from the scalp while others were as much as a half inch. In the back.if my head she missed entire sections. I looked liked Bozo the clown in female form with some wicked out dark blind medium brown lowlights. Also as if that weren't enough, my hair cut was uneven. Yup... she added tge icing to the cake. And this visit cost me 475.00 and I didn't get my courteously credit either. Apparently, that was not noted by the owner who was the disengaged girl I talked to that second time when confirmation of my appointment. Go figure! So I tell ya... go somewhere else.. convenience and easy access and location... mean nothing.. I am convinced the reviews on this salon where there is 5 stars are of OLD staff no longer there or just fake reviews. sorry but this is an honest straight forward as it happened review.

I had a wonderful experience with Marissa today. I am new to the area and I was so nervous getting my hair colored and cut. I have been seeing the same person for 15 years back in VA. Marissa took the time to listened to me and I am so happy with both the color and cut.
