Los Angeles Avenue Barbershop in Simi Valley, CA

I made an appointment with Marlon since he was the only one with appointments available when I needed one - I think I now understand why. When I walked in they called  for him but he was  too busy looking at his phone to respond - he just pointed to his chair without taking  his eyes off his device. He asked what I wanted and he got started, but stopped several times to go back to his phone. He spent about 10 minutes on me and declared he was done. It was the worst haircut I've ever received. Nothing was even and there were abrupt changes in hair length. I didn't bother challenging him to fix it, because I didn't want him to do any more damage. I just left and went somewhere else to get it fixed. They were shocked that someone had actually sent me out looking like that.   It's unfortunate because it's s close to where I live, but I definitely won't be going back.

Started coming here recently since I was in the market for a new barber and definitely have not looked back. Natalie is hands down a great, friendly, and professional barber. Her work with fades are just excellent and never rushed. You can tell that she loves what she does and is very detailed oriented when it comes to fades.

The shop is clean and usually busy with the sounds of different genres of music, clippers, and colourful conversations between the barbers and customers. Everyone in the shop is friendly, lively, and always interested in getting to know the people that come in.

Remember, it's always best to make an appointment before walking in, since it does tend to get busy during the weekend and around holidays. You could also call or use their website to book appointments.

Most importantly, don't forget to tip well!

Very impressed with Brandi!  First time she's cut my hair and I explained what I wanted and she did exactly what I was looking for!  I'd definitely go back to her for another haircut

Well, my first interaction with this shop didn't go so well. I made an appointment for both of my boys almost a week ago and the barber text me this morning, 2 hours before the appointment, that they "forgot" about a doctors appointment. Not to mention, she said she wasn't available later today because her son has a BMX thing to go to, but when I made the appointments, her schedule showed availability all day-I chose the earliest appointment of the day because I needed it done early. Sucks to be hung over after 4th of July but It's not good to lie to customers/potential customers. Looks like really bad ethics on the whole shop.
