Zen Nails and Spa in Riverton, UT

The reason I'm giving zen nails 1 star is because of( YEN ) hopefully I'm gettin the right name. The moment the nails took the wrong turn she took everything personal and didn't try to find a solution.

I came in wanting black French tips , I was told I could do powder or regular, so I decided to do powder not knowing how badly it would turn out. I could probably say it wasn't YEN's fault,  it was difficult to do this on black powder but YEN proceeded not to understand my concern about my nails and she was ready to let me walk out with my nails like the picture. As you can see, she was very unprofessional and mad about my nails because she started shaping my nails wrong and didn't care about my nails being shaped weird after I was unhappy about it.

At the very least, she should've noticed the errors and offered to fix them or recognized that there was something CLEARLY wrong. Instead, she chose to pout and leave me with nails with countless flaws (the pictures don't capture all the flaws). Even my boyfriend, a MAN, noticed how bad they were. Smh.

I don't speak their language but she made me feel like she was talking badly about me. I also noticed she was getting rude to owner when he was pointed out the flaws.

One thing I can say is that THE OWNER was very helpful and sympathetic, he had great costumer service and wanted to please me but I ended up paying $25 for this work and gave YEN a $5 tip and she didn't even say thank you or apologized.

Although the owner tried to find a solution, now that I keep looking at my nails, I should've got this service for free and not paid $25 because they are really bad and now I have bad birthday nails.

Yen is great at drawing what designs you want on your nails! My 4th of July gel nails turned out fantastic, and I received alot of compliments on them. I told them where to find the artist.  Got to go, heading back now to Riverton.

I came here regularly when the spa was owned by Zen. After she sold her portion of the business things went downhill. My mother decided to purchase $100 gift certificate for my birthday for me to come since she knew I frequented here often. I got a full set of nails with a design on them, and I also got my eyebrows waxed. I was told that they do not give me back in cash the balance. That I would have a credit for the remaining amount. They took the gift certificate and told me that the information of the balance is in the system attached to my name. I called today wanting to know what my exact balance was and I was going to schedule an appointment. I was told that they should've given me back the certificate, and then there's no way to figure out what my remaining credit is. That because they took the certificate, I no longer have any credit to use. So basically they took about $50 from me. With the quality difference since then sold it not to mention feeling like they stole from me I will never be coming back.

So disappointed! Let me just say that I picked this place based on the reviews and the pics look nothing like the crappy job they did. Sure they're nice and all but be prepared to be nickeled and dimed. They quoted a new set for $45 and $5 design for two nails well this amount turned into $71 because they charge $10 for removal, $5 for the length, and $5 dollars for each shitty design. The nails are uneven and bumpy, this guy did a horrible job. To make matters worse, he kept leaving to blow his nose and wouldn't wash his hands. Definitely will never return!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's been over a year since l've started going here.
There's a lot of new nail techs at this establishment and every single time l've gone I am never disappointed!
