Bad hair color that FRIED my hair and the colors bled together so I looked like a witch with grey hair! The girl who did it no longer works there, shes at the other place in Brockport ... i would avoid the "walk/in" salons if your a women wanting to a good cut and color!
Brought my daughter in for a trim and long layers. I am very specific about what I want because I am a hair stylist myself and I get straight to the point. I had to ASK her to wash my daughters hair. Which I thought that was always a given but I guess not. When she started the layers I had to walk away. She wasn't precise or careful or even did long layers the right way. I had asked in the beginning for her to get blown out. Not a blow dry while running her fingers through her hair. When you leave a hair salon you should feel/ look like you just left a hair salon. It didn't look that different. I guess I expected more. Just disappointed... needless to say I had to fix it when I got home...
I live about 5 minutes from the salon and went to get my hair trimmed. I expected a little wait but what I walked into was only 2 stylists on duty. When I walked in there were only 3 people ahead of me until a woman came in with 2 boys and was put ahead of those of us already waiting because she "called". I am under the impression that she knew one of the stylists and as this is a walk in business they do not take reservations. She hadn't been there previously and just stepped out for a second because she came in with a coffee drink from across the street that she could only have gotten if she drove there. This extended my wait as well of those who were ahead of me even longer. I left home at 1 o'clock and got back about 3:30. This is the first time I didn't bother to leave a tip for the stylist and if she wants her tip or payment for all the customers who walked out rather than wait over an hour just charge it to the woman you put ahead of the rest of us.
I went in for a simple cut, nothing too crazy, and the stylist messed it up. I went back to have it fixed and there were only 2 girls there. The phone kept ringing and my stylist had to tend to it and took a long time just to get through the cut because they were short staffed. After having to leave to answer the phone 3 times my stylist apologized and explained to me that the calls were from the store owner. I could tell from the look on my stylists face before the calls came in and then after that she was upset. Through and through, it seemed unprofessional. And not on the stylists end, mistakes are allowed to be made, however overworking your limited staff and distracting them from the influx of customers by continuing to call the store, is.
Just had the most unpleasant encounter with one of the employees here. After waiting nearly an hour for a wax for my daughter her name is finally called. A woman resembling A crack addicted Elvira is the stylist. I follow and she says "you're actually going to come with her while I wax her?" Having had a third of an eyebrow taken off at one of these places before, my daughter prefers I go with her now. I said yes and she said to me, "then stay in the corner so your not in my way." And that when I said, "I don't think we are going to do this today." Asked to speak to the manager on our way out who was maybe 20 and said you have a very unpleasant employee. We left. Check this businesses off my list from now on.

There's no denying that balayage is having a moment. This modern hair coloring technique has taken the beauty world by storm, and it's easy to see why. Balayage is a French word meaning "to sweep" or "to paint", and that's exactly what the colorist does.
