I know nothing about good haircuts, but I got 10x as many compliments on my haircut than I normally do. So he must have done something right.
Came in not knowing I needed to make an appointment and they were gracious enough to take me in as a walk in last minute. Phil gives an incredible haircut and has just the knack of knowing how to.make your hair look good, I highly recommend over any other in Waco!
Who knew that Wabi Sabi meant BUTCHER SHOP! My words were I want to keep the length, only a trim to shape; want only very ends at bottom of neck to turn up a bit and all else to turn under - nothing else in back to turn up. Said it needs enough length from crown down to cover 1 spot that separates in back on side. It was cut so short at bottom that nothing will turn up for quite awhile; and the back is so short that it won't do anything but turn up or stick out - no way to even try to catch it with a comb or brush and direct it down. Said I wanted it natural with height on top, pretty much as it was. I left with flat to side and plastered with hairspray when she saw how furious I was. Also tried to cover up the separation all across the back with paste - because she had just created the rest of a problem that didn't exist. My only regret besides going there is that I paid one red cent. I should have left and paid nothing. Have no idea why I said a work because nothing was heard or listened to. I am so sick of going to these places, telling and SHOWING how I would like it to be, mostly as was, and then having them do as they please! I might have well said Butcher it - because that's what I got - and then paid for.it like a dummy!
Salon wabi sabi is by far the best. Phillip is amazing and will do anything to make you happy! I live in Houston and drive to him because it's worth it. If you go here I promise you that you will not be disappointed. You will feel like a new person when you leave this salon.
Phillip is awesome. Always super accommodating and helpful, and I've never left his place not happy with my hair. I live in Austin now and still make the trip back to Waco for Phillip to cut my hair. He is fantastic and I don't trust anyone else.
