Vouge Nail Spa 2 in North Haven, CT

Worst experience I've ever had. I went here as I needed an appt at the last min. Now I know why they had appts available. First, it took 1 hr 15 mins for a pedicure. She told me the pedicure would be $50. Then I had a gel fill and they filed my skin off. That took over an hour. I have two fingers that are raw   You can see how red and inflamed it is. After almost 3 hours she charged me $154. I was horrified. She said you should have checked our prices. I did. $50 pedicure and 45 for gel manicure. At most it should have been $95 which is still crazy. But coupled with the fact that they filed my skin off and had to file off the gel polish because they got it all over the bottom part of my hand. This is the worst nail salon ever. Don't go here. I should've read the reviews before I went. A lot of others have had the same experience.

This salon is INCREDIBLY overpriced. The prices are not transparent nor are they accurate when one goes to pay. The owner is condescending and all she cares about is money. I regret going here and tipping the amount I did.

I had a horrible experience here this morning. I was put in pain, gaslighted and told it wasn't painful,  and my preferred design was ignored.  The woman, Joanne was very unkind. She made several remarks about how bad my nail beds were and how short and "weak" my natural nails are (no one has ever complained  about them before). I told her what i wanted abd tried to pick it but she interrupted me to say she'd pick a nude color... and it was definitely nude for a fairer skin person but not for someone of my skin tone. It looked bad. She used a random gel substance instead of the regular acrylic without asking me. It burned so bad I literally screamed and yanked my hand out of the uv light. She said it was because my nails were weak. There was another woman in the salon who seemed to be having a pleasant visit, nothing like mine. I believe all my negative treatment at this place was racially motivated.  This business is not a safe space for black women.

It's okay, I've been to other places that were much cleaner, aesthetically pleasing and had more to offer for a pedicure at about half the price. With tip I spent 65 dollars on a pedicure that was okay. It was mediocre, honestly wish I just took the money I spent  and bought new polish,  foot soak and did it myself, and I probably would've been more satisfied knowing I didn't waste my money. Overall not pleased, won't be going back again.

i goy my nails done a week go and not even less than a day later my nails broke.   the lady who was doing my nails also was hurting my skin while filing and there prices are too high i went some where else and they were almost half price.
