VIP Nail Spa in Elkin, NC

I believe this business is NOT licensed and that many of its employees are also unlicensed.  I have reported it to the local authorities TWICE without response.  No posting of any licenses or sanitation inspections.  Powder and spilled liquids on many surfaces.  Items designed for a single use (orange sticks, emery boards, etc.) are reused with other customers.  This morning, four people (relatives of owner) who recently arrived from Vietnam and had no experience in this kind of work, were performing manicures and pedicures.  They have not been in the country long enough to have attended school for training or to have taken the exam for licensing.  Another employee has been working there for FOUR years with only the training provided by the owner - who probably isn't qualified to train others.  Employees do not wash hands between serving customers.  I've noticed that some employees need a good scrubbing of their hands and a cleaning out under their nails.  I believe you should serious consider the risks of using this establishment.  However, I like the people who work there very much, but they are not appropriately trained and are not following hygienic practices.

I went in here a few months ago and forgot to post the review. The people are nice enough, but they did not do a great job. I had to have them repaint some of my nails because they missed half of the toe. And there was nail clippings on the floor everywhere................ they didn't see a problem with it. They just told me to keep my shoes on or to step on them while they repainted.

What a horrible place to go for service.  I went to go get a pedicure to get my feet worked on not to get my feet washed. They call they self  giving me a pedicure but end up  washing my feet. I was so very upset. I called them before going in there and asked about the price they told me $28 for a pedicure yet when leaving the building they wanted to charge me $35. What a total rip off,  they are just pitiful pitiful pitiful. Please don't go There, very very disappointed. Bad bad service.

Got my nails done (3/14/23)...."Anthony" says it should last a month (gel)...2 days...its coming off!!
Went back - let...Ivy repair it (she did them- originally). Yelp doesn't give space for full details..

The worst nails I have ever paid for! I didn't get what I asked for which was the old school acrylic full set with regular polish. I got a halfway acrylic set with gel polish. So I was charged more than I expected and the quality was horrible! The nails were very thick in some places and had dips in them ...I was stuck....I couldn't remove the polish without soaking off the entire nail so all that money was wasted...will never go back there!
