Great local spot to get a quick mani pedi.  They can always get me in quickly no matter the day or time.  Good pedi massage chairs, good leg/foot rub.

I went to Village Nails on Saturday. Normally that do a pretty good job. But this time. I am not happy. I asked for a French manicure acrylic. She hardly gave me any nail bed. They look ridiculous. If I could stop payment I would. I thought she was rude and didn't listen to me. I have to paint them to cover her job she did. Very unhappy with them.

My 86 year old Mom had a mani, shellac, and they did a wonderful job. While she had her mani, I had a full pedi, with shellac, awesome job. Both were so friendly, and the technician for my Mom was very careful with her.

I am going back for sure.

Village Nails was my go to spot when I was due for a little bit of "treat yo self" time.
Not today.
Never again.
The employee working station 9 was very rude. By the way she was back pedaling in her speech about how to she chose to round the edges of my nails when i wanted square, gave me the impression that she has had complaints about being rude and pushy before.
There were several issues with my nails, from the shape she filed them into, to one side of each nail on the left hand and the the pointer finger of the right hand being filed crooked at an angle, when the other side of the nail was filed straight, so it looked like crooked teeth on my finger tips.
I asked her what we could do to fix it and she ignored me.
Then she kept thwaping my hand and pushing my fingers aggressively, as if they didn't have nerves in them that were connected to a person but rather like she was working on a machine that was frustrating her because it was not doing as she wanted it to.
She was rude to me the whole time, even before I mentioned that the nails were crooked, and even though I was smiling and presenting a friendly nature.
We reached the point where she began painting my nails with shellac, which was unfortunate, because I made it clear I wanted power, but I didn't want to deal with her attitude anymore so I just went with it. So she is painting my nails black and as my right hand is under the UV light, I notice that my ring finger and pinky finger looked funky, they looked off.
It looked like she didn't cover the whole nail with the acrylic powder down to the cuticle and that there was still sone of my natural nails showing, and then she painted over it.
The best way I can describe it is it looked like I had grow out that I tried to cover by painting over the gap.
I asked her to fix it and she acted like I was insane.
I tried being calm and polite, despite her rude attitude, but she sighed and pawned me off to some one else.

I then had to explain myself again, and this person acted like they didn't understand what I was saying either.
So I said "whatever, just finish the nails please and take 5 dollars off "

That was when the woman tried charging me 5 dollars more than I was quoted. When I didn't stand for that, she was not happy.
I'm sorry, but 61 dollars is a lot for simple acrylic and paint, especially with the shoddy job, I was only asking to walk away half satisfied with my nails.

I had been waiting months to do this, I saved a gift card from my late father to go out and treat myself because I have a 2 year old daughter who I care for around the clock. I was getting nails for our costume tomorrow (Halloween).
Getting my nails done was a big deal for me.

At this point, i had apologized and explained I was not trying to be difficult, I just don't get to do this often and it was special, hoping they would understand.
Then, because I was moved to another station and my nails were not done, lint and fuzz got all over my thumb nails, white and obvious.
The woman was going to paint red sparkly shellac right over the bumpy white fuzz and lint, so I asked her to please fix that issue before continuing

She looked at me like I was a bitch and straight lied to my face, saying there was nothing there. I wanted to take a picture but she had my hands and I was really upset by now. She called another person over to look at my nails and they said nothing.

I kept showing her my nails and repeating, "you mean to tell me you do not see the white lint all over the black sticky nails" and the only reply was "they look good"

She then started to take off the polish and I thought, ok, she's going to fix it and for it right, thank God.

Nope, she told me she was taking the nails off and sending me on my way, because she didn't see what was wrong with the nails before and i didn't like them and now  I would not like them or if she did them, so I could go, and not pay.

It would have been faster for her to fix the nails then it was for her to remove the paint and then painfully pull off the fresh nails that were just applied.

I was not going to wait any longer with all those other people staring at me as i fought back disappointed tears.

I wanted to rip there store apart, but i did not.
I got up to leave and the woman yelled at me not to go so she could take them off, because "she had to".... she wanted to make sure i  didn't walk out of there with "free merchandise ".

How disgusting.
What happened to taking pride in one's work?

I tried to be calm, and patient and work with them, but there was no use.

I will never return, and i suggest that any one who expects quality work and their desires to be respected to strongly consider avoiding this salon as well.

nails were done poorly as well as being insulted while sitting there. I definitely do not recommend anyone going there if you want your nails done especially at such a outrageously high price for terrible work. and when called to complain as to why this was allowed to happen the person that answered the phone was completely argumentative and raising their voice as well as hanging up on me after they were done saying what they wanted to say. I don't recommend this place for anyone to go.
