Unfortunately, I decided to end my business with this place today, due to the quality of their customer care.

I moved to St.Louis area few years ago. I read some good reviews about this place on internet and gave them a shot, started coming here for my hair needs. Even I didn't mind driving half an hour one way to just to get here. They didn't do a marvelous job with my hair comparing to their pricing. But I enjoyed their customer care, because I can tell how my stylist loves her job.

Then my hairstylist changed in September 2022. He is a new start still practicing with hair. But I can tell he loves his job too, enjoying what he does.

I am a person who seeks transparency and trust first. And spending money comes after that. I simply would like to know what I am paying and what is it for?

So, we talked about their pricing with him at the beginning because I have long hair, needs to be colored every month, need full hair cut, bang trim and full color every few months. It is high maintenance, it costs a lot. When we first started, he colored my hair, trim my bangs for couple of minutes (because I don't need much), styled and charged me for $85 and told me all included! He does good job but still needs some more practicing. So even if the pricing was little off, gave him a chance and also I always added tip around 10-15%. I kept coming for 5 months.

A month ago, he cut my bangs little too short but he gave me hair curling service. During payment they added approximately $25 extra and the cashier lady told me "We saw your stylist did hair curling".

Someone is watching what services I am receiving? I felt uncomfortable. And I told them that I didn't asked for hair curling, assumed he cut my bangs too short and since I wasn't happy with the result, offered me a free hair service. He didn't even mention the cost of that expensive hair service, and even someone added to my check without my permission.. They took the service out of my check. I thought it was a mistake, and it is ok, they fixed it.

1 month after, today, my appointment was for full hair color again. He styled my hair, trimmed my bangs for 2 minutes. Cashier/another stylist again, different person this time, told me they saw me receiving bang trimming. They are watching me, like I am trying to steal hair services. :) Felt uncomfortable again and added $10 for that. I asked them, all the services included within the price for 5 months and now they are extra? The answer was very unprofessional "It was a mistake we charged you that price, it shouldn't have been included" It was a mistake, for 5 months? Even if I tip him good? But the tip wasn't good enough for him, I guess..

There is tip options on the card reader, I was just doing just right.

After all, told them to cancel all my future appointments. Her answer was "Perfect!"

"Perfect" for your customer's dissatisfaction?

Very sad. I understand all the prices everywhere going up due to inflation. But I was their customer coming once sometimes twice a month despite their pricing. This doesn't feel good to be treated like this. I even gave him a 5-star Yelp review when I first started with him, so maybe more people come do business with him and he can do more hair. Apparently they don't want my business. I will take it somewhere else.

TL:DR I came in wanting one thing and got something else completely different and the stylist didn't attempt to remedy the situation at all just ushered me out the door.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received here. I came in with a grown out white blonde balayage and all I wanted was a refresh. I showed the guy the picture and he said I wanted highlights and told the receptionist to schedule me for highlights. I thought it was weird but said nothing because he is the expert and as long as he has the reference picture it should be fine.

The first picture is what I asked for. The second and third pictures are what I got. And the last picture is what I had prior to the appointment.

He turned me around in the chair to face the mirror and asked me what I thought. I asked if there was anyway to make it lighter. He asked if I meant the highlighted sections or everything and I said everything. He then said I should get a balayage. He then handed me my purse and started on his "thank you for coming" spiel basically kicking me out. I ended up at the front counter where the receptionist asked me what I thought. I said he said we need a balayage because it's not what I wanted.

At the point an older woman stepped into the conversation, presumably the owner or manager. She is the only one who attempted to remedy the situation. She said that in between today and the next session that I need to use conditioning treatment to add moisture and not mess with the color so he has a base to work with.

Either way I'm extremely disappointed. I had a reference picture, got something completely different, and was rushed out the door when I expressed dissatisfaction. I wasn't listened to and won't be returning.

Mike is amazing! I gave him the task of taking my medium/long hair to almost a pixie cut, which I had never done before in my life. Not only is the cut amazing, Mike was also incredibly patient with me. I wasn't able to fully articulate what I wanted and he worked with me until we got the cut just right. He made me feel comfortable about taking up space and had empathy for the emotional experience that can arise from chopping your hair off. 10 out 10. Definitely recommend. Will be returning for future hair needs.

Went to get bangs cut because it was a semi-decent price and pretty close to me, I also saw they had an appointment open for the next day. It is super nice inside, very good environment for a hair cut and the staff is very kind. My only issue was the service I requested not coming out to what I wanted... I went in for shorter curtain bangs because the fringe I had was already growing out. The stylist just went in with a razor on my grown-out fringe, and when I asked for something a little shorter she hesitated and didn't really cut as much as I wanted. When I got home I also noticed both sides of the "curtain bangs" were different lengths - one side was a lot short than the other, so I had to fix it myself. Maybe I wasn't using the right words to describe what I wanted, but I also showed reference pictures and feel like the stylist just didn't know how to give me what I was looking for.
After a couple of months I went to my stylist in my hometown and was told that using a razor on my hair texture isn't ideal at all. I'm not sure about other services here, but if you're looking for a new hair cut or style I'd make sure to communicate as much as you can with your stylist. It would also be nice if the stylists could talk you through everything they're doing, so the customer can be on the same page as them.
