Unique Salon in McKinney, TX

I was referred to Unique Salon by a friend. I called for an appointment and Sandy called me back. I showed up and was met with smiles and prompt service. I am so glad I listened to my friend. Sandy did a fantastic job. I was a little scared to have my hair cut (as my hair was very long and I wanted it much shorter) I showed Sandy a picture of what I would like, she aced it . I am a client for life. AAAAAAAAA+

Casey turned my hair orange! Said he couldn't fix it for almost a month! In the meantime, what, I'm supposed to walk around with orange hair because he f...... it up, and doesn't have time to fix it? I'm NOT HAPPY!!!!!!!! JUST HORRIBLE!!!!!!!! The ONLY reason he's even getting a Star, period, is because it won't let me give a review without at least a 1 star!!!!! I left "2" reviews on his Salon Google review, and he deleted them! Pretty sure that's not actually "legal"!

I called to make an appointment for a Saturday morning cut and style. When I walked in, the salon appeared busy with clients. There was no one at the front desk and waited for a few minutes before I was asked how I can be helped. I told him that I made an appointment for 11:00, but could not recall who with. He asked a couple of stylists if they had an 11:00 scheduled and mentioned my name. He nor anyone else did not know anything about my appointment for that time. My guess is that the person I spoke with on the phone did not note my scheduled appointment and consequently, scheduled another customer. What I do not understand is why they did not have anything to look up their appointments for that day and with whom. This is the first time I have ever experienced with any hair salon. I walked out with the thought of rescheduling as they must provide a good service for their clients, even though the place looked a bit disheveled. At any rate it was little humiliating and decided I will not go back. I will go to another salon that honors the appointments with their clients.

I made an appointment and went in only to sit for 20 mins. and not a word from anyone. Not even a Hello. I felt like I must be in the wrong place but I knew I wasn't. As I sat there looking around, I noticed how dirty and nasty the furniture was. I had a tray in front of me that you would need to scrap the gump and dirt off of it. One girl had on a smock that looked like it had never been washed. Everything looked dirty. I left. I think more of my hair than to have it washed in a place that looked this bad. Very disappointed. Casey is a literal hero! I decided to do what every normal human being does during quarantine and become a "professional hair dresser" and DESTROY my hair! They were able to squeeze me in last minute and transform my hair even better than it was even originally! Let's just say that unique salon has a loyal customer now because of their compassion and also the amazing job they did for me! I truly appeciate this salon and Casey for taking me under his wing and saving my hair and sanity! :)
