Jodi will call a customer and tell them off because of bad business practices. Instead of putting policies in place for customers that miss appointments or no shows, she will call you to tell you how disappointed she is about how irresponsible you are and how you are ruining a business relationship she has with the makeup/skin business owner down the street. I have had my haircut here in the past and was really happy they would do my hair for my wedding. As a customer, I knew what day my practice run makeup appointment was with the makeup/skin owner down the street but forgot what time it would be. I thought I wrote the time in my notebook. That was my mistake and I apologized to both business owners. I never received a text message or phone call for confirmation. Every business I have made deals with for this wedding has called me in advance for reminders and confirmations. I tried calling the day of my appointment to make sure the time but no one was available to pick up until the time of my appointment so either way I would have been late, I called the makeup owner at 9:34am. So I assumed the appointment was 11am and I started my trip to her salon around 10:15am. She calls me to point out I am late, makeup owner called me at 10:26am. Jodi, the hair business owner, made it worst when calling me about the missed appointment with her down the street hair/skin business partner. She was rude and then gave me an ultimatum: either I paid for the services I would be receiving in advance plus the appointment I missed or I would have all the appointments canceled, Jodi calls me at 11:08am and berated me for almost 2 minutes until giving me an ultimatum. This was never part of the deal that was made. It seems she got into a tiff with the makeup/skin business owner down the street and took it out on me. If only she would have reacted differently, I would have probably paid this either way because I already felt bad about missing the appointment. Hopefully, Jodi learns her lesson and makes better business dealings by asking money or a deposit or a credit card in advance to customers before making appointments. In the end, I am glad I did not give money to Jodi and her business partner down the street because I am probably not the first or last customer she has or will do this to. I gave Jodi's business two stars for arranging my hair and make up for me in such short notice and for my past hair cut I had here last year. My suggestion to Jodi is to get a better attitude with customers because you're not the only hair stylist in town. I already found replacements for my big day. Never will reach out to them again. Thanks but no thanks. BTW... I have call log evidence of the whole thing.
