Trendy Hair Salon in Grants Pass, OR

You'll access the business through an alley, I guess it's behind her home and it's very eclectic but clean. The owner was friendly enough and we discussed what I wanted. I told her "shoulder skimming with face framing/side layers", and showed her examples on my phone. I was going from fairly long to shorter - so was nervous. However she said she understood and started cutting. Because the chair was turned away from the mirror I did not see how badly she was butchering my hair until it was too late. I never asked her to layer the back but she did extremely - really short at the top and long at the bottom. I was shocked and stopped her from cutting the bangs. I kind of blame myself because I took a chance with an unfamiliar stylist, so did not say much right then except "it wasn't what I was expecting!" and she just said "well, you wanted it short." I got home and although I am usually happy with a new haircut, I was mortified. I will now have to live with it until it grows out.

Can I give zero stars, because I definitely would!!!! I just want to far warn people do not come to Alicia ‍ this is how my bangs look after she took an hr and a half to cut them. Looks like a child got ahold of scissors and cut into them!!! I bet your thinking an hr and a half is a long time right ? Right?!?! This usually takes her about 2.5-3 hrs to cut a straight line in my bangs  without a complete haircut. I went to her yesterday & called her back this morning once I slept on it and asked if she had time to fix my bangs . She said no , I expressed how I had somewhere to be tomorrow. She said she has stuff to do today and tomorrow . She cannot fix until Monday. So I thought about it called her back and expressed how upset I was and that this puts a damper in my plans & how embarrassed I am. I should have never given her a chance after she cut into my bangs and cut a chunk of my long hair out of either side of my hair and still charged me!!!! Im furious and I have a right to be!!!! Hospitality is everything and if you lack it & don't fix your mistakes ......guess what BAD BUSINESS!

I booked an appointment a week ago for this morning at 10am. I received the text confirmation and a text reminder. Sad thing is the stylist didn't get the reminder! I showed up at 9:50am and waited until 10:17am. Nobody ever arrived. And by the looks of the building my assumption is she lives on site. And it's now 3 hours later and zero contact from the business.

In my opinion very poor customer service. Unless something major happened there is no excuse for not opening your business on time. And if something does cause your no show then reach out to the person that was waiting. Things happen.....but lack of consideration in return forces me to take my business elsewhere.

Great customer service, nice haircut, very good color job with organic products, and reasonable pricing. I highly recommend! Will be back.
