Not quite sure what was going on. Walked into this video store and did not see a single video! Lots of blue lamps and shadowy orange people, but zero movies. I'm moving and was going through stuff from years ago, and found a Tommy K's VHS copy of Ace Ventura Pet Detective II: When Nature Calls and American Pie: the Naked Mile. I must have forgotten about these years ago, but tried to return them anyways. I'm an honest man and didn't want the IRS finding out about any substantial late fees. The staff looked at me like I was crazy and would not take their videos back, however I was delighted when they told me just to keep them.
I usually go to the Tommy's Tanning in Guilford (for about the past 2 years) and for years prior I had always gone to the one in Hamden.
I was running some errands in the area a few months back and had a few minutes to spare to take advantage of the "Tan Free Weekend"
Now a Tan Free Weekend is a whole 'nother monster of sorts depending upon where you go.
The Guilford location isn't too bad for this, the Hamden one gets inundated with monstrosities of Quinnipiac girls (so be prepared to wait like forever there)...
But on this day the parking lot here didn't look too jammin' so I figured I'd go in.
There were two girls waiting for an open bed (or maybe their friends to come out).
Two working girls behind the counter.
Between them was a small pizza.
These employees looked at me as if I was bothering the hell out of them and I almost felt like I was being looked down upon.

Like Sheila's review, it was clear they didn't value their job.
I was able to go right into a Level 2 bed without wait.
No "have a nice day" on my way out or anything like the other Tommy's locations say.
Meh. I've experienced better.
Salon is clean and staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They have a number of packages/memberships for different price points and needs. Prime time is usually in the afternoons/evenings from 3-6pm so sometimes you have to wait when you go then, but the wait is usually not long at all. Memberships are also good across their locations which makes it easy to get the most value for your $$.
