Today's Style Hair Salon in Bellingham, WA

The ONLY reason that I've given this place 1 star, is because that is the only way to be able to leave a review. I went the today's style last week for a haircut. I explained twice that I didn't want too much taken off, and had even shown her with my fingers, just how much I had wanted cut. I had also asked to texturize it, but not too much. I had even told her that I didn't want it any shorter than it is. So, upon looing in the mirror afterwards, it looked okay. I paid the $24 and had even gave the stylist a $6 tip. Shortly after I had arrived home, I looked at the back of my head and it was uneven. She didn't give me a mirror so that I could see what the back looked like, perhaps it was because she had known that she messed up? This stylist told me twice that she is 69 and cannot afford to retire due to things being so expensive. I also have problems, and so do alot of other people. I am a military veteran on service connected disability, and due to the injuries that I sustained while on active duty, was deemed by the veterans administration of not employable due to my service connected disabilities. I went into the salon earlier today and complained to the owner of the salon, she looked at the back of my head and said that she could not see where it was uneven. Seriously? A blind person would have been able to see that the hair on the back of my head was uneven!! She said that I just needed to style it. I told her that I should not have to style it just to make it look better and that I prefer to wash it and let it air dry. You cannot style an obvious bad hair cut. She offered to "fix" it, but if this other stylist cannot see an obvious mistake, then explain how she's going to fix it? I turned around and walked away. So, now I'm going to have to go to a different salon, and pay even more money, just to try and fix this bad hair cut!!! This salon gets a negative 4 stars from me...

I've had the same hairdresser for Years But she's booked months out so a friend had Ruby do her hair & it looked Fantastic! So I thought I'd try Ruby. I Was able to get an appt in a week 1/2. And OMG, She was AMAZING my hair hasn't looked this good in years!! She will now be my hairdresser.

Went in for the first time today for a haircut, Ruby did a wonderful job! friendly, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced.

Ruby, Today's Style Hair Salon, is an awesome hair stylist that has been my stylist professional of choice for many years. She is knowledgeable, reasonably priced, highly trained, flexible and truly a joy to be around! Over the years, I have relocated many new residents to the Bellingham area where they ask my opinion of where to go for hair cuts and styling. Without question, I always feel comfortable giving Ruby the highest recommendation and in return I am always thanked by everyone that follows through and tries her out! She is fantastic!
