The Second Look Salon & Spa in New Albany, IN

I went to this salon for years and had a good time going there. Everyone is super nice EXCEPT the hair stylist I had. Do Not let Sue do your hair. That woman gaslit me for years about the health of my hair. For context I have dark brown hair and wanted to go blonde. I did not know anything about hair as I was quite young, but when you go to a professional you except them to give you knowledge and explain what is good and bad for your hair. Sue allowed me to go platinum blonde for years. It was gorgeous I will admit. I loved my blonde hair, but a few years in I started to receive comments that my hair looked unhealthy from many people in my life except the only person who was a professional in regards to hair. I trusted her to tell me if I needed to stop bleaching it and began all of our sessions with "Is my hair still healthy and should I continue dying it" Every single time she said that my hair was perfectly healthy. Even when my hair began to fall out she told me it was still healthy. When I told her that my hair was falling out and I no longer felt it was healthy she changed what she had said and told me "I've told you for years that dying your hair would destroy it". I have never gone back and every stylist I've gone to since says they would never have dyed my hair blonde as it would make my hair fall out. My hair is still damaged almost two years later. Sue is a liar and should have been fired years ago.

I've been going to Sue for many years. She is an EXCELLENT colorist! She knows the latest trends & keeps me updated. She's great at cutting & styling too! I would give her 10 stars if that was an option.
Other stylists are always busy - so that speaks for itself. Very friendly & welcoming.

I LOVE The Second Look Salon & Spa! They have excellent, competitive prices with great end results!!  All of the hair stylists are very creative and talented.  I have been going to Michelle  for over 20 years!!!  She is a wonderful hairstylist!  I've tried other places just to see what is out there, but EVERY TIME they mess my hair up and I go back to Michelle to have her fix it.  THANK GOODNESS she can!!  She has even stayed late on the night before Thanksgiving to correct a huge color botch job that happened because I got a crazy whim and couldn't get into her.   She is super talented, very kind and VERY patient and LISTENS to what you want.  She always gives 110% to her clients.  One of the most impressive things that I love about her, other than her talent and kindness, is she never gossips.  She always has a kind word for everyone.  You never hear her talking negatively about anyone, client or fellow co-worker.  She also takes her time with each client meeting all of their needs.   My family just LOVES HER!!!

Michelle does not know how to listen to her clients apparently. My friend left with a cut that was not asked for and when she told her she didn't like the cut, Michelle insisted that it "looked great" and wouldn't do anything to solve the problem.
