Awesome nails in New Albany, IN

They do nice nails but the customer service is very poor especially from the owner Peter. I have a chronic illness and was belittled by him for missing  and rescheduling appointments when I was too ill, hospitalized, and having surgery. I was a client for over six years. I witnessed other clients not being happy and there was never an apology from the owners. I truly enjoyed going to Boren who was my nail tech but the toxicity of the salon forced me to switch nail salons with a positive atmosphere for my own well-being.

I was referred here by a friend. This shop is clean, utensils are always fresh and clean. The owner, Peter, is welcoming and knows everyone by their first name. Highly recommend.

So disappointed again with my nails from Awesome Nails.  Not the first time that the colors that they say are the "same" in gel, dip, or regular are NOT even close. There's a new guy.  He was sooooo rough. My nails look like crap. And I'm home filing off the sharp edges around the cuticles.

I really wanted to love this place because my mom got her nails done here, and the acrylics looked great. I made an appointment to get my nails done for graduation and I arrived a little early. The person I requested was still doing someone else's nails so I had to wait for them to finish up. Still waiting, 30 minutes later, I was finally instructed to go sit in a chair, and it looked like he was finishing up the person before me. I sat for about 5 minutes without anyone else acknowledging me and turned around to find that he was starting on someone else's nails. At this point it was almost 45 minutes (if not more) past my appointment time and needless to say, I was extremely irritated. What is the point of making an appointment if they aren't going to honor it? Nothing was communicated to me saying they were running behind or anything so that I could go do something else during my wait time, instead of just sitting there wasting time. They showed no respect for my time and when I left not a single person said anything to me or apologized. Frankly, I don't care how good of a job they do, I will be taking my money somewhere else with better customer service.

LOVE Awesome Nails.  I moved here from Florida alittle over a year ago. I was looking for a nice place near my home.  I came here and have been coming ever since!   Peter is so friendly and remembers you each time!  The ladies and gents who work there are all very nice and friendly. It's very clean and all you could ask for!
