The Salon at 1011 in Anderson, SC

0/10 worst haircut of my life. One side was at least an inch shorter than the other, very uneven, and she took off 5 inches instead of 2. Color splotchy also. Huge mistake.

I was recommended this Salon in a pinch before I was traveling out of town. Jessica saved my hair!! After months of hair neglect (being a nurse, traveling, dehydrated, etc) she revived my hair with some TLC! Not only did she give me a great cut and color, but she was very knowledgeable. She gave me some tips for nourishing and hydrating my hair especially with my travel life. Highly recommend her if you want a hair stylist who is fun and knows her trade! Thank you Jessica!!

This was my first time at Salon at 1011, and I was wowed on all levels. Kristin was my hair stylist and she was nothing but friendly, prompt, knowledgeable, passionate, and absolutely fantastic at what she does. She listened to what I was looking for (a balayage and trim), and delivered an absolutely stunning end result for a very fair price. The salon is located near downtown Anderson in an adorable little historic home that has the cutest decor inside, which has nothing to do with how great my hair turned out, but it's always nice to get your hair done in a cute little salon instead of a weird, dirty one.

I just really can't say enough good things about my experience, and the before and after pictures don't lie. I am a total Salon at 1011 convert. Thank you Kristin, I'll be back!

This hair salon has about 7 experienced hair stylists that each rent their chairs. In other words, you don't pay set "corporate prices".  In my opinion rented chairs is a plus!  I am very picky about a stylist, so I have searched around the Anderson area. I see Amanda Barnett here and she is great!  She does a beautiful job with my hair, and cares about each of her clients needs. She is personable and easy to work with. Amanda uses only high quality products.  I find her prices very reasonable.  McKinsey's is a very pleasant place to have your hair services done!  

BTW, they do men's and children's hair as well. Along with those , they perform waxing, Keratin treatments, and of course, cuts and color.

I went in a few months ago to get my hair done. I was recommended by a friend. My hair was long and dark and I wanted it to be cut with ombre'. I was super nervous because I had never cut my hair more than a few inches. My hair dresser was constantly on her phone either texting or stopping to answer a phone call. When I left, my cut was slightly uneven and my color was bad. My hair went from dark to light rather abruptly. There was no blending in my ombre. It looks like I went light blonde and my roots grew out. To make it worse the line goes around my head except for one spot that goes higher in one side. Totally uneven. I woke up the next day and my color turned orange in some places. The girl offered to fix my hair for free, which was nice. The blonde looks pretty but she did nothing to fix the line all the way across my head.
Although the employees are super nice, I will not be back.
