review
I usually don't write reviews on places that I visit or restaurants that I eat at, but this time I decided to. I don't get my nails done that often because I work in fast food, but the few times that I do I thoroughly enjoy having them done and have always loved them in the past. I usually go to one of my favorite nail spas but I decided to try something new this time and that's when I stumbled upon The Nail Lounge. My first impressions were good, pretty basic, and stereotypical for a nail salon. I picked my color and showed my inspo pic (the first picture shown above) to the manicurist. He even zoomed in on my picture and was very understanding that I wanted natural, thin, short French tips but with green. Soon after he began, there was some confusion on whether or not I wanted gel or regular but it was resolved. Soon after as he kept filing and trimming my nails, they got semi-busy and within 5-10 minutes he sped up the process and painted my "French green tips" and was done. I was astonished. From the pictures above, you can visibly see where my natural nail ends and the tip begins and then the green begins. You can see how messy the acrylic was underneath my nail, and that the acrylic and the glue was completely sticking to my skin and was painful when I tried to pull my skin away. There was acrylic all over my fingers and nail polish as well. My left-hand tips on my nails were longer than my right hand and were filed and shaped differently as well. The green polish was even smudging. There were just so many problems. I couldn't believe this was what he looked at and thought "Yep that looks great!" So as I was letting my nails dry, I called over another manicurist and was asking about the fact that my nails were basically atrocious. She said she could wipe off the nail polish on my skin and she did. Then she told me that the way the green polish was on my nail and the fact you could see where the fake nail began was how it was because I didn't ask for a color to go underneath... and then when I was explaining how messy the acrylic was she had me come over to her chair for her to "clean it up" not understanding that my skin was literally attached to the acrylic and was being very aggressive with the drill bit. After putting another coat of clear top coat on my nails and smudging them more, I just was done. I kept pointing out that it was still so messy and I was not happy with any part of my nails. They had sharp edges and were very thick as well. After having almost every manicurist and pedicurist come over to the chair where I was sitting and was trying to "explain" to me that that's just how they do it and that they don't focus on underneath, they only focus on the top. And that the reason why the lengths of my nails were different was because my nail beds were different shapes and sizes.. even though they 100% aren't. Anyway, after having the entire team of employees there very clearly talking about the fact I was being "difficult" and everything I was just really upset because I knew I would have to leave the nail spa and go somewhere to get them fixed and pay twice. After telling the manicurist that I was not happy at all, she told me she could take them off for free so I did that. After being in there for yet another hour, already there for an hour and 45 minutes. And having my hands soak in acetone forever damaging my natural nails even more because I was just left in the chair while occasionally a new manicurist would come and file off some of the acrylics. Finally, I was just so over it and ready to be gone. All in all, I feel like I wasted 3 hours of my time and now my nails are still in pain and are even weaker than they were before. The only good thing about the experience was the fact I was able to have them removed and I didn't have to pay for them. because if I had to pay for those nails, I would have been furious because they were so so bad. I'm not sure what other people's experiences are at this nail spa but I would just say beware. This is just my experience and yours could be different but I know now that I don't think I'll be back there.

I went in with my daughter and her friend to get our nails done. They got acrylics and their experience was fine. I got a basic gel manicure and I walked out of there bleeding from multiple cuts around the cuticle area. My cuticles are sore and inflamed now. I've been having to put antibiotic ointment on them to try and avoid an infection. The polish was also applied too thick around the cuticle area so the nail looks lumpy. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the girl who did my nails was sweet and super apologetic for making me bleed.

Decided to check out this nail salon because of its convenient location and the amount of time my previous spot had been taking to complete a dip. I had been locked into an 90 minute commitment, which may work for some but not me. I want quick (under an hour), excellent service, which the Nail Lounge provides! I could not be more pleased with the outcome of the two appointments I've had so far.

I went this morning to just get dip powder/SNS removed. The place I usually go to is in Cleveland and I just didn't feel like making the drive. Most places I've gone scrap it off a little with their tool and then soak the nails in acetone for like 10-15 minutes. My nails were soaked for maybe 5 minutes. The guy was picking at my nails with his and did not remove it all. Most places usually add a clear coat of polish to help the nails strengthen again and that was not done. I'm not one to post a bad review but it was frustrating. Should have gone with my gut and gone to my place in Cleveland.
