Go see Michelle at the Moon Room! I'm a working mama who only gets her hair cut every 1-2 years, doesn't do products or a hair dryer, and needs something I can chuck into a pony for a run or cute up within ten minutes for a night out. Michelle delivered big time. I came to kick off my birthday weekend with a rare splurge on some self-care, and I couldn't have been happier that I treated myself to this cut and color by Michelle! She listened to my needs and delivered a beautiful end result that is eminently manageable while still looking amazing. She took her time, making sure the color looked just right, and returning again and again to perfect the cut. It was a long appointment -- my hair is stubborn about color and takes a lifetime to brush and dry -- but I never felt rushed in the least. Michelle made sure to get every detail down to a tee. I went in today with a heavy block of waist-length, extremely thick hair. I asked for the miracle of a cut that still looked long and full, but moved and felt like it was half the weight. I wanted color that gave me fun and dimension but I wouldn't have to touch again for a year or two. And without breaking a sweat, Michelle did it all and more.

Aliena is a spectacular hair stylist. Every time my bestie sees my hair cuts, she literally says, "wow you're stylist just gets you." I've always had a great cut and dye, and Aliena is just a lovely human overall - we always have great convos. Also, the Moon Room is adorable, and I love the witchy vibes. Highly recommend.

Aliena Aguilar (@sodajerkstyling) has been making me feel beautiful, magical, and wonderful with her styling, hair, and makeup magic for years. On photoshoots, she's professional and a perfectionist which is exactly what you need for the perfect shot. In my modeling days, Ive gotten many great shots with her styling fashion, makeup, and hair. Every time I'm in her chair, I leave it feeling amazing! The Moon Room is so green, open, and relaxing. On my wedding day, I felt so perfect and comfortable. She asked really good questions to help me find my desired look at the makeup and hair trial prior to the wedding. She took the example photos and perfectly matched it to fit my skin/appearance and nailed my other desires with the look too. She always so kind, helpful, and supportive. She makes her best effort every time and it shows.

Today I had my first haircut with Aliena and it was the best salon experience I've ever had. First of all, The Moon Room is such a vibe. I love that they are focused on a holistic and sustainable approach to hair. It is a beautiful welcoming space and everyone is so sweet. Aliena is the kind of stylist I have been searching for. She is kind, attentive, intuitive and a great listener, both in terms of what I was wanting to accomplish with my hair as well as conversationally. It felt like spending an hour with a super cool old friend who is also extraordinary at cutting hair. I will definitely be going back to her for color. So grateful I found The Moon Room.
