The Hair Lab in Mt Pleasant, SC

OMG! What wonderful salin! I went in for a consultation for my hair extensions and color. Mycolor was a platinum blonde from gray to dark brown hair, so even a partial highlight has to be heavy. Erica was kind, patient and very knowledgeable. After the consult, she had time to do my hair. That was a crazy bonus! Once we got the color done, I got a phone call and had to leave without my extensions being put in. Erica was great! She was able to put me on her schedule the next day to re-install Mt extensions. I LOVE this salon! Everyone was so helpful and kind. I am a travel nurse and needed a salon where I am going for upkeep of what Erica had just created. Everyone pitched in to find me a Redken salon near my contract.
They are incredible. Worth every single penny.​​​

Since moving the Charleston 4 years ago I've bopped around from salon to salon....until landing on Hair Lab! Once I discovered the salon I've always returned. I love the light/airy atmosphere of the salon. There is a relaxation room stocked with treats/drinks for while your hair sets. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I see Abbie and she always listens to what I want to do with my haircut while providing honest and professional feedback/suggestions - and every time I walk out incredibly happy! Appointments times do fill up quickly, so be sure to schedule in advance, and if you get on their email list they'll send updates with current availability!

I had a great Hair Lab experience. I am new to the area (Mt P) and have been making the rounds with the local spots for a mens haircut. I was looking to get more of a salon-style cut vs a barber-style.

After a bit of poking around on yelp and instagram, I found Hair Lab. Once the appointment was set I had a great experience. Abbie was expert in the ways of mens scissor cuts. I was really really happy with the cut, and more importantly... so was my life :) The salon itself is well taken care of and packed with products. Everything was new and clean. The vibe was relaxed, with a tinge of fun via good music and seasonal decor. I am legitimately relieved that I have found a spot to get a haircut. Obviously I can't speak to the stylists outside Abbie, but I can say that I will be back and I would happily recommend Hair Lab to a friend.

A heads up:
The booking process via the site is a bit on the heavy side. You will need to fork over a bunch of info and billing details to get an appointment. I wish they used a more all-in-one/streamlined service like Booksy.

Just moved here from California. Was looking for a highlight and cut. Did my research and reviewed salons and stylists. I was able to secure an appointment here very early on a Monday morning. The drive appeared to be an hour, but ended up looking like almost 2 hours to get to appointment. I left with plenty of time to arrive on time. During the drive I realized I was going to be very late for the appointment due to the traffic situation. An hour before the appointment I informed the studio I would be late and felt it was unreasonable to arrive late so chose to reschedule appointment. During the process of making my appointment and securing my credit card information, I was not informed of the 100% cancellation fee. They plan to charge my credit card $308 and wanted to know how soon I wanted to reschedule. Are they kidding? I won't be returning and I will be refusing the charge on my credit card. So much for Southern hospitality.
