Danielle Nicole is such a great hair stylist. I had gone about a year without getting a haircut (my hair was not looking great) and Danielle was so accommodating and gracious. We had a great conversation during my time there and she gave my hair the upgrade it needed. Also, the salon is beautiful and very well maintained. I definitely recommend The Basement Salon!
This review is long overdue! I found Brooke on pure luck! Long story short.... I stopped going to my ex hairdresser that I've been going for over 15 yrs and drive over one hour to Edmonds from Issaquah so I can have my hair done by Brooke! She's masterful with her art! I know my hair is thinning and there is a spot I know it's bad but after her cut and styled I look as if I have thick youthful hair! And that continues as I style my own! It's incredible and makes me happy! Her colors are fantastic as well and stay on for at least 4 weeks! Aftercare is easy. Styling is easy. I love how Brooke is so straightforward and listens to my concerns. The salon is clean, bright and stylish! I really enjoy coming to her salon and get treated like a queen! I will continue to drive from Issaquah to Edmonds to just have my hair done! She is a gem
I regularly see Tami at this salon and love her. They just moved to a brand new location in downtown Edmonds and it is beautiful. They put so much thought into the space. It is light, bright and clean with retractible plastic curtains between chairs and everyone is masked. All the girls are really friendly and welcoming. I felt like I spent the afternoon with my friends.
I am **shocked** over the phone call I just had inquiring about hair color and don't know how this salon has 22 5 star reviews on Google. Even if there was a misunderstanding the lady who answered the phone was VERY VERY RUDE. I'll explain. I want to get a hair color with multiple colors and I feel like it's a complicated look esp w/ my current color and I've had stylists mess this up before. I was trying to find out if I could send her a Facebook message through my husband's account because I don't have one. There is no other way to send a message to this company unless you call and I wanted to send photos. when my husband & I searched for the basement Salon it is unclear about if it's located in Edmonds or Mukilteo and we wanted to make sure we sent a message to the right one. My husband has been to the basement Salon before in Mukilteo and had a haircut. my husband told me to ask for the owner to do my hair and based on the reviews I could tell Brooke seems to be the owner. we called today and whoever answered the phone was extremely rude. I asked her if her name was Brooke and she said "yes". At least three times she said I need to hang up. She said I'm not accepting clients. She said this sounds fishy. All I'm asking for is to get my hair dyed; it was unclear about if it's located in Edmonds or Mukilteo and she clearly didn't want to give out that info (but the basement salons address is all over the internet). She asked how I got her number and I said I found a flyer at a park.( I have attached photos to prove that this flyers *still* is hanging at a park in Mukilteo. now like I said the number on this flyer is different than the number that came up on Facebook) but when my husband searches the basement salon the number we called came up on Facebook with a Mukilteo address. After telling her I found the flyer at a park, she said "Lady, that sounds really fishy I'm going to need to hang up." That was the last straw she'd said that a few times so I hung up because I deserve better service as a potential client. She tried calling back twice and we didn't accept it. This is a nasty world. literally just trying to get my hair colored and I would appreciate friendliness not someone biting from the get-go. If you don't want clients don't answer the phone. it is also unclear about if there's two basement salons in the same city because two different pages come up and two different phone numbers. If these businesses have the same name they should be *aware* of that so they can explain that because of course it would be confusing! the number we called was 4255831553 (see attached screenshots). Unless the lady lied she said her name was Brooke. Such a weird experience.
The hairdressers working at the salon are great; however the owner was unpleasant and quite rude during my visit.
