Swirl Shop Salon & Spa in Lewisburg, PA

I have been a client of Jen's for several years. She always is friendly and I liked how she styled my hair after my haircut. I usually get my hair highlighted and get a haircut. I wanted to have my hair styled for a formal event but Jen could not fit me in ( I'm not so sure she wanted to !) so I had it done at another salon.I inquired about having my hair highlighted and they said that they could schedule me in about a week. I really liked what the stylist did and the fact that I didn't have to schedule out several months ahead to get in with Jen (she only works three and a half days a week). My hair looks actually better than when Jen did it. I think this stylist is younger and more up to date with new styles than Jen and the other people at Swirl Shop. They seem to do a lot of elderly people with curlers and older styles. I am sure with her busy schedule, Jen didn't even notice that I am not going back anymore.

My husband got his haircut here because it is close to home and convenient. He came home and looked like he got a good hacking at the mall!! He said he had Laurie , told her to just trim it but she cut it so short he won't have to get another cut for four months!!! Said she cut his hair in about fifteen minutes! Well it certainly looked like it! Even though it is close to where we live, he will NEVER go there again. Just not a good experience.

I love this place. I have been going to Laurie for years. She and Jenn and the only people I allow to touch my hair. I would highly recommend Laurie and Jenn to anyone.

Made an appointment with Laurie based on the Facebook reviews. She seemed rushed and barley let me explain what i wanted. Most of the haircut she talked to another stylist and her customer and just chopped away at my hair. She cut one side shorter than the other. When I asked about it , she just sniffed and acted like I didn't know what I was talking about. It was a terrible cut and I had to go somewhere else to try to fix it. She seems more interested in herself than the customer. The salon is large and open and loud! I observed that it is not very clean either. Would not go back, just didn't get a good impression there.

Very unimpressed. I was recommended to go through a friend of a friend. I went there to get my nails done (gels). I was also going there to remove my current nails as well. Although the service was very polite and nice it took over THREE HOURS to get it all done. After the first two hours I started getting ancy looking at the clock every ten minutes. My boyfriend came with. Got so tired he slept in the car. Woke up after a nap to realize I'm still not finished. I'm giving two stars because 1 they were very nice/they spoke English and 2 they didn't just rip off my nails like others places have. The product was minimum, and the price was stiff. Cut and took off the nails myself. I will NEVER be going back, and would NOT recommend to anyone else.
