I've been going to Famous Hair for a few years now for things like eyebrow waxes and the occasional hair trim, and I've never had a bad experience. The salon is located in the Publix shopping center and very convenient to Hwy 17 and my house.
When I need an eyebrow wax, I can almost always walk right in and get one without having to wait, and the few times I have had to wait haven't been very long at all (less than 10 minutes- so perfect timing to run into Publix if you need to pick up a few things). They do a good job waxing eyebrows and always ask me if I'm satisfied before I leave.
I've also gotten my hair cut a few times here, and they do occasionally send coupons out via email or snail mail, so watch out for those if you need a trim.
HORRIBLE! My husband needed a trim and being new to the area just tried here because it was so close. The person who greeted was rude and the person who cut his hair did an awful job. Did not follow his previous cut at all and just took the clippers to his entire head. Did not trim around his ears or clean up his neck. And to top it off there was still random long strands of hair in the mix. A blind, drunk person with rusty clippers could have done a better job. He was so upset when he got home. If they could screw up my husband's simple cut so badly I hate to see anything else. NEVER AGAIN!
