Supercuts in Champaign, IL

I don't usually write reviews, but after my experience with Jesse, I had to make an account just to write one! I was there a few days ago and she checked off every box I had when it comes to a stylist! I've had terrible haircuts in the past here, but I got a new stylist every time and I just chalked it up to them being new or it was the first time they've ever cutting my hair, but I will be back to see Jesse from here on out! She was the only one to really welcome me into the salon (which I appreciated immensely). When I sat down and explained exactly what I wanted, she listened to every word and let me finish explaining my haircut before saying anything. She asked questions, that I've never been asked before, making sure that I got exactly what I wanted and even asked what I didn't want. She showed me MULTIPLE pictures to visually show me what she had in mind. She explained exactly why certain things I wanted wouldn't work for me. She took her time to make sure it turned out perfect. When I've been to others there or even other chain salons, I feel like I get a 10-minute haircut and then it's over. She was very easy to talk to and made me feel extremely comfortable and welcomed and gave me the perfect cut. I know she's been there for a while because she's the only one I really recognize anymore, but for almost 6 years! Wow! Please don't let her slip away! Every time I find a stylist, they almost always end up leaving. Maybe that says more about me than them. Haha. But it was the best experience I've had in a very long time and I'm just so thankful I got to meet such a beautiful soul with an amazing talent! Highly recommend anyone to see her for your haircut needs!

I showed up as a walk in a full hour before their closing time and was turned away because they had five people waiting and anticipating being busy until their closing time. Any place that I've worked in a retail environment, we didn't turn away customers as long as they were inside the doors before closing time. It's called work. It's called providing for your customers when you advertise to them that you'll be there to help them by a certain time. Service providers are getting lazier and lazier. And you want tips? Please.

My husband had a stylist there for years who did a great job cutting his hair. Unfortunately she moved and referred him to the manager for cuts. The first cut left him looking like Moe from the three stooges. Today she left him looking like the cartoon character Hey Arnold. He had to go to our neighbor who is a retired stylist to fix the mistakes. The neighbor said it was the worst cut she had ever seen. He won't be back.

Was able to get right in, stylist was excellent, gave me a nice edgy cut, am glad I gave them a try. Using hot towels on neck and shoulders a nice touch. Would highly recommend.

Jessie was awesome! She did a FANTASTIC job on my beard. She took her time, was extremely careful and I love how she free-handed it. Most stylist I've been to just wack it off with a numbered guide and send me on my way. She shaped it and molded it so it looked it's best. Not only that, she was very friendly and easy to talk to. I will definitely be back again to see her! The store itself was clean and well kept. Jessie's station was professional, clean and organized. Oh, and I loved her skull and crossbone scissors. Super cool. The other staff was friendly and attentive. I *highly* recommend this location, at least if you're a man needing a beard trim! See Jessie, though I imagine all the people working there are excellent!
