Studio B Salon and Barber Shop in Reno, NV

Brenda is the best, I saw a lot of other stylists before finding her 15 years ago and never went to anyone else since!  She is a master colorist and just knows hair!  I have thick Asian hair and have a hard time finding stylists that know how to cut/style my hair how I like it.

I had missed my last two haircut with my regular hair guy because I broke my arm right before the first one and my stylist was out on medical for the second one. I was almost to week seven since my last haircut and my beard was pretty bad even though I had trimmed it once.

I got on Yelp looking for someone close so I could walk (I can't drive with my arm and my friend that's been driving me has been down with a cold.)

Of the places close to me, Studio B was the most promising because they had a link to their website on Yelp and their website had good info on the staff as well as contact info. I really didn't care if I went to a cosmetologist or barber, but Studio B had both. There is a barber shop closer to me, but it offered limited info and had mixed reviews.

I texted Bowen, who had training as both a cosmetologist and barber,hoping I could get in within a week or so. He texted me right back and had an afternoon appointment the next day.

When I walked into the shop he came right out to greet me and was very welcoming and personable. His colleague Beau was also very personable and made me feel welcome by joining our conversation as he waited for his next client. Bowen asked me questions about my preference for my haircut and beard trim. He worked with what I knew and also gave good advice. He was very skilled as he did the work and paid attention to detail and made sure the hair stayed off of me and was otherwise comfortable.

I was extremely pleased with the experience as a whole as well as my haircut and beard trim.

This shop has both cosmetologists and barbers as well as a massage therapist. It is next to the Atlantis and has lots of parking. I recommend it highly.

Color correction and needing the kind of love that you would want and need sitting in a new stylist chair you will find you are very lucky and I'm the best of care with Brenda as your hair GOddesss! She's phenomenal and has all the education background and talent you are in the best of care! Thank you Brenda! I love you to the moon and back!

This is one of the easiest reviews ever!  Brenda Hamlin has been doing my hair for over 15 years!  I don't ever have to worry about that part of my life.  I walk in and she does what needs to be done.  She is the best stylist that i have ever had.  A few years ago, when my sister was visiting from out of state and going through a rough patch personally, I made an appointment for her with Brenda to give her a little lift.  She gave my sister the cutest hairstyle!  My sister still talks about her and how she is still trying to find her own Brenda in New Mexico.  I have followed Brenda all over Reno.  I am very thankful to have her in my life.  My hair is especially thankful and very healthy.  Brenda can do makeup and I know she has also taken care of many wedding parties.  She is the type of person that once you meet her you will want to go to her again and again.  She is expert in hair color too!
