Colorist, Stylist, MAGICIAN! I have very thin, fine hair (called angel hair by others - devil hair by me). She is truly talented and quite a pro. My prior stylist relocated and I tried several stylist's prior to being recommended to Angie. Angie listens to what you have to say and offers suggestions. I always leave feeling and looking fabulous.

My hair is my best feature and I would never let anyone else touch it. I don't know what I'll do if and when she retires. She takes great care, she talks to you realistically about expectations ,she makes everything clear upfront. I have seen the bad reviews and I am perplexed. I had to have a color correction when I first met her due to years of me dying my gray and my hair was essentially black and red in the back she has made it look amazing and it did not take one or two sessions it took a few and I knew that that was the reality. Look at it now in the picture below. Some color corrections take a lot of time and a lot of effort and it may not look great immediately but it will given the chance and the patience. I have been seeing her since 2012 and I've never had a bad experience with her.

I have gone to Angie twice. I've been transitioning to blonde and I've had 8-9 months of bleaching sessions to get to where I was when I saw her. I had a lot of orange because I had such dark hair but i understood that. The first time she did a quick highlight and toner which was cute. Don't think it was worth the $500 I paid for but that's whatever now ( picture 1). Picture 2 is a couple days before I came in to see her again. She said she would be able to make me blonde. I was very excited at how confident she was. Fast forward I come in not minding where my hairs at, been doing treatments and changed to the whole olaplex line to make sure I was giving my hair the best. When I got off her chair I noticed some of the pieces weren't blending well and the root line was so low but she did tell me she had to go lower because I had an orange band around my head from my previous hairdresser who used permanent dye. Idk if that's true or not. But what was weird is she couldn't face me and had her back turned to me. I assumed she was busy but now I know she as ashamed of her work and knew she messed up bad. I paid $400 all together and made sure to tip her. Pictures 3 and 4 are from the day after the session. I didn't say anything at first because I'm bad at confrontation In situations like this. I examined my hair when I got home and I was pretty upset. There's no way a professional hair stylist should let me get off her chair with my transition looking like this. I waited a few days to text her to see if my first wash would help... it did the exact opposite (picture 5 and 6). In picture 7 you can see I look like a literal skunk. She said she had to bring down the root a little because of the orange band but why on earth would she bring it all the way down??? Let alone only on the underside ??? This is what pissed me off and I ended up messaging her. She offered a free fix but she did seem to be annoyed I said something about her work. I know she knows this is unacceptable. After going back and forth she did offer me a full refund which is rare and the fact that she did this proved it even more she messed up big. I took a while to respond and she ended up just saying she wasn't the hair stylist for me. Laughable she tried to fire me as a client when she's the one who screwed up. I took my money back and the tip I gave her. Since then.... My hair has gotten even worse (pic 8) and I noticed the whole middle back is MELTED OFF. I only washed it one more time and the damage left me speechless. She melted off my hair and completely fried it (pic 9 and 10). She should have never pretended she could get me blonde I would have been okay with a few more sessions. She gave me a cut with layers but I made sure the length of the middle didn't match the layers she gave me. They're off by 4 inches so I know it's not the haircut. I can only wear my hair up now to hide the embarrassment that I was left with. It's been so hard to find someone to fix this as everyone is always so booked and I'm disappointed in the fact that an artist like this exists. This shouldn't have happened and she was completely negligent. I'm going to have to spend an extreme amount of money now for products, treatments and constant sessions to fix the damage she's done. It's going to cost me a fortune and it's lost me money already. I work in the nightlife industry serving and I haven't been able to work the shift I normally do because of my hair. I make way less money because of this mess. I've been told to take her to court and I was seriously thinking about it due to the financial loss I was left with after this session.

I was a client of Angie's for over 10 years. I saw her every 3 weeks for color, also highlights and occasional keratin express. In that time we had a very friendly relationship. I have probably spent over 10k in her salon. Recently she did a keratin treatment. It didn't work. My hair is as curly and frizzy as it was before I did the process. It was $250 plus tip. I sent Angie photos and asked if she would consider giving me a credit for 1/2. I thought she should be paid for the application. That would be about $125. Her response to me. NO CREDITS, NO REFUNDS. I CANNOT GUARNTEE ANY SERVICE. I HAVE TO STICK TO MY GUNS. I have never asked for a credit before, and that was her response. I have heard her use the phrase, "stick to my guns" quite a bit recently. Not sure why but it seems to be a current theme. She only takes Venmo so I have no recourse. I told her I would not longer see her if should would not even consider my request. I later asked for my color formula. NO! I DO NO GIVE OUT FORMULATIONS. Really, what does that cost her? 10 years, 10k, good steady client. On time, tip well, never complain. This is how she treated me. Very callous and unfeeling. Angie may have forgotten she is in a service business and while "business is business" and she has to look out for herself-another theme-she is dealing with people and needs to hear them and have just a drop of compassion and maybe a little flexibility on her RULES and extend a little kindness here and there. I am writing this to tell future clients she is a talented colorist but if you are not happy with your results, too bad--she's sticking to her guns!!

She asked me to pay cash or Venmo so I was 15 minutes late because I had to pass the ATM. So to make up for lost time, she left the colour for 13 mins on my watch and 15 minutes on hers. That's half the time she usually takes. The result is that my resistent grey showed through. I took this photo today with dry hair, and the service was yesterday. No blow dry because it's only allowed outdoors. The salon next door set up a chair with a blow drier. That's fine but the charge is still $75 + tip. Total time in chair was 45 mins so that she could clean for the next client.
