Studio 51 in Marysville, WA

Wow! What a great salon and group of employees! Going to a new salon and seeing a brand new stylist is always scary, but they were so welcoming. My stylist, Bri was great- she listened to what issues my hair had, what I was hoping for in my color and cut, everything. Bri is AMAZING!! She did the most beautiful Foilayage! The brightness and lightness of the sections are simply stunning. My hair has not looked better! Thank you, Bri, and all the lovely employees.

Where do I even start, my hair is awful. I liked it better before my appointment. I wanted natural looking highlights with a little bit of pop around my face. I had a level 3 stylist and expected the outcome to be decent at the least. My highlights are not blended at all, I have a head full of harsh lines. It was so bad in fact I had to go back in for a redo. The redo helped, but it is still not what I was wanting. I had very reasonable and realistic expectations and thought I was on the same page with my stylist, but that was not at all true unfortunately. The haircut also had random chunks of long pieces of hair poking out all over everytime I move my head! YIKES. NEVER GOING BACK HERE.

Recently my hair stylist of 42 years retired and I was panic struck. My hair is resistant to perming, so, because of this it takes a very experienced stylist to get a good result. I called around to different places and then found Studio 51. I had Sarah, as she was very experienced perming hair. Well, I couldn't be happier. She was excellent, friendly, knowledgable about hair cuts and hair care etc. The salon was so pretty and clean inside and all the staff were friendly and courteous. My experience was terrific and I will be returning on a regular basis. I couldn't be happier.

I hate leaving a less than amazing review, but my experience left me feeling intentionally disregarded and upset for months whenever I think about my hair. I used to go to Studio 51 years ago. I had moved and I normally cut and colored my own hair, so I wasn't going to a salon for a while. I had just had a baby and was making self care a goal. I wanted to go somewhere I trusted and establish a stylist for timely services going forward. It was more of drive than I wanted, but I had really enjoyed the salon in the past, so the travel was worth it, I thought. I went in for a cut. Waited 30 mins after my appointment time to begin my cut. I understood, was totally fine waiting. I was just excited to get a haircut, like super excited because no one else had cut my hair in about 10 years. The atmosphere was okay, the receptionist was the most friendly of the staff. Brianna did a decent cut and I was satisfied enough, though planned to tweak my request for future cuts. I had told her that I badly badly wanted to get my hair color corrected. I had had Overtone in it about 2.5 years before that and had left the color to fade and it had been growing out in an ombré. I wanted an update asap for my self esteem. I had an event in about a month's time and I wanted to get back to my natural color and feel like me again, especially after having a baby. She cut a chunk of my hair out from the lower half of my head and said that she would be doing a strip test in the morning and would call me as soon as possible so I could get on the schedule for color. She said it should be easy to bleach and no problem. I was super excited. A week went by and no call. I then left a voicemail asking for a call back (even to tell me if they hadn't done the test yet or lost my hair sample or something), and no response. I felt completely ignored and like a number. You never want a customer feeling like that. I have since found a great stylist who makes me feel seen and appreciates my business. I won't be returning to Studio 51 or referring my clients.

So far this is a place to get the full deal.an actual consultation with a sweet lady to explain what I thought I knew. I was amazed!!! I think I found my new place for trusting my hair with. It's sad that I lost my old hairdresser to Arizona but I think this could be a good change. We shall see if they get me in on a cancellation before too long. Especially The next 10 days.I'm praying ........
