No joke. I've been on a long expensive journey looking for a new stylist since I moved to Birmingham 5 years ago. But today I FINALLY FOUND HER!! Heather Dickson is everything I hoped for!! She perfectly nailed my cut and my color, PLUS she was super affordable and got me out the door in way less than 2 hours!! Thanks also to Missy for the great convo, taking out my foils and shampoo!! I found a new home with some pretty sweet friends at Stone Salon in the Moss Rock Preserve.

It's been awhile since I've had a haircut because I've been uncertain about safety with COVID. I finally decided it was time so I contacted this salon that had been recommended to me in the past. Prior to setting the appointment I asked about their safety precautions. I was told they check temperatures when people arrive, anyone waiting needed to wait at the tables outside, they wash the aprons/cloaks between each person and everyone has to wear a mask. This all seemed reasonable. I arrived and sure enough my temperature was checked and then I was told which seat was the stylist's (her name was Heather) and I was to wait there. I only waited a couple of minutes before she arrived. She did have a mask on but it was under her nose. I asked her to put it over her nose and she told me that when it's over her nose it fogs up her glasses and makes it harder to see while she cuts hair. Although she did then cover her nose. Unless this is the first time she's ever had to wear a mask (unlikely since this is September 2020) why hasn't she invested in a mask with a wire instead of putting herself and her customer at risk?
