Something is way wrong with their "wait List".  I use the app to check in.  14 minutes.  Get to the store and check in at the kiosk and 36 minutes.   See several people go. I'm at 11 minutes.  They take the only person left in the waiting room and I look back up and I'm at 47 minutes.  At his point I complain and try to get them to tell me how this is happening.  I don't get a satisfactory answer. Now there's people who's names appeared on the wait list after who are showing up ahead of me.  We'll see.  This is the 3rd time Something went wrong on the "Wait list" costing me extra time.  Nothing like this happened with Great Clips and this haircut is twice as much.

I have been picking out sports clips for my haircut since pandemic started opening up and my wife told me I needed a haircut. I'm so happy to have one closer to home now second time here and I enjoyed sitting with Brittany and she talked with me as I told her what I have been trying to do with my hair. Thanks for the cut you all are great as always.

I used to go to Sport Clips often in Richmond, though due to some difficulties in honoring coupons, I stopped a while back. I decided to try out this new location recently and I'm very glad I did.

This recently-built Sport Clips is nicely-designed, as is standard for the chain, and had plenty of parking. I did not have to wait very long at all to see a stylist, and she patiently waited while I explained what I was looking for and asked for advice on how best to achieve that appearance. Her idea was a good one, and while at first I was not entirely happy with the result, I later realized that it was quite a good cut and suited me well.

Sport Clips tends to be generous with sending out coupons, and new customers get an entirely free cut on their first visit, with return customers still getting a good amount off the cost. While it certainly isn't the cheapest option around, it absolutely provides great value for your money.

My only issues with this place are in regard to the supplements, shampoos, creams, and other products they strongly advocate for. Many of these products are not clinically proven to generate the kind of results the bottles seem to indicate, and tend to be rather pricey. On this occasion, I made it clear that I use minoxidil for my hair, yet the stylist still recommended I add a nioxin shampoo to my regimen. The problem with that is that there are no studies proving the effectiveness of nioxin treatments in helping to thicken the appearance of hair, and it is most definitely not proven to aid in hair regrowth. Only Propecia (finasteride) and Rogaine (minoxidil) are FDA approved and verified to help regrow lost/thinning hair. So essentially, while it is important to keep your scalp clean and nioxin shampoo can help with that, many other cheaper but still quality brands of shampoo can achieve the same outcome while you use one of the two above to aid with actual hair regrowth.

Overall, I was very pleased with my experience here and I plan to return. They are very proactive in asking for feedback following your visit, so expect a few emails and possibly a text message as well regarding your experience.

Cons:
- Do your own research on recommended products. I will admit it is difficult to do (even as a medical student, it can be hard to find the right studies and data and see through the questionable online advertising), though it will ensure you are doing the best you can for your hair without doing harm to your wallet.
