Horrible hair braiding. Scheduled appointment at 2pm and wasn't seen until 3pm. I will not be going back to this salon again!
They do a good job styling hair, but are completely lacking in professionalism. First, if you make an appointment with Sophie, expect her to be at least an hour late. This has happened to me twice. They accept all walk-ins, even when they clearly won't get to that client for a long time. People sit around for over an hour just waiting for a stylist to get to them. They have no regard or respect for other people's time. But the most frustrating thing is the interruptions and excessive talking. It's a beauty salon, so you expect stylists to talk and gossip. But the hair styling should come first. These women spend about half the time talking and half braiding. They'll take phone calls, lunch, visits, just about any kind of interruption that comes up. There's never a sense of "let me get this hair done first then I'll return that call or then we'll catch up". It doubles the amount of time it takes to get hair done. The women are nice, and they do good work. But my God, they have no sense of basic professionalism.
They have moved locations and have not updated any platform. I called numerous times and I got no answer. Please fix your address and answer the phone when someone calls if you'd like business.
I originally had an appointment at a salon up the street for my daughter. We leave for vacation tomorrow, and they canceled on me last minute. I found Sophie's after a yelp search, and she was able to get me in right away. These ladies were amazing and treat my daughter so kind. I also liked how they worked together to finish each clients braids if they were done with their own. We will definitely be back!
I absolutely love going here. I have been twice now and both times it has gone great.
The ladies take their time to asses my hair and make sure that I have enough hair to do what I want. And if I do not, then they have always offered to give me some of the hair from the salon.
The last two times I have gotten box braids and both times the ladies have asked me if they are braiding too tight. I have a sensitive head so this is super important to me. At Sophie's they braid fast and neat without hurting my head.
On top of everything it's an awesome price each time.
