Soleil Nails in Overland Park, KS

I always get manicure and pedicures here.  I get compliments on my nails daily!  Very good quality!

My nails have always been ugly!! Before Soleil I tried acrylics, dip, SNS, everything.  The last salon I used for a manicure (a couple years ago) butchered my nails (see the before picture), so I was reluctant to ever have them worked on again.  Earlier this year a friend recommended Soleil for fills. I've been going regularly ever since. Kim makes my nails look so good I no longer need to hide my hands

Stopped in for a fill about an hour before closing. There were only two other customers and three workers. The gentleman acted irritated but the lady said she could take me. She was rushing and borderline burning me. I was trying to get something Halloween themed and the idea she suggested was not cute. She was visibly annoyed that I didn't just accept the one nail she had tried, so I ended up getting just keeping the plain base color I didn't want just so I could leave. They charge an extra $5 for any nail shape that requires extra filing.. never been any place that has done this. I asked for coffin, my nails are still square. Best part is my middle finger nail fell off the next day... didn't hit it, snag it, etc... it's just missing. Didn't go back. Won't go back.

F for (lack of) effort.

I wish I could say I had a pleasant experience at Soleil, but unfortunately, my visits were nothing short of a nail salon nightmare. I've never encountered a place with such a blatant disregard for client preferences, an utter lack of professionalism, and a complete absence of basic courtesy.

First and foremost, it became abundantly clear that the staff at this nail salon had zero concern for their clients' preferences and communicated needs. As a client with a consistent nail routine, I've visited this shop heavily over the last year. Today was the last day.

Unfortunately, today was not the first day I was met with indifference and a "take it or leave it" attitude. The technicians seem more interested in what they wanted to do rather than what I had requested. My requests for specific nail shape and styles were met with eye-rolls and sighs, as if I was inconveniencing them by requesting a certain look.

To make matters worse, their punctuality was shockingly abysmal. Not only were they consistently late to multiple appointments I've had over the course of a year; they also canceled on me at the last minute on several occasions. Each time, this felt incredibly disrespectful especially when we've made an effort to be there punctually. No apology or explanation was offered. Still, I gave them the benefit of the doubt.

Still, the most infuriating aspect of my experiences at Soleil was the unprofessional behavior exhibited by the staff. Rude and inappropriate comments flowed freely; on multiple occasions I was laughed at for communicating my needs. The staff repeatedly made snide comments about the choices of other clients in front of me.

Finally, I watched the owner on several occasions, refuse to step in to assist a client communicating their needs. Rather, she watched the events unfold in front of her as she sat on a massage chair. No concept of customer service or basic human decency.

I urge anyone considering a visit to this salon to think twice and explore other options. There are countless nail salons in the greater KC area out there that value their clients and offer a professional, respectful, and enjoyable experience - this is not one of them.

If I could give this place a 0 I would, I booked an appointment for a full set and a pedicure, as soon as I get in the lady by the name of kim was rude  I ended up leaving. She complained about doing my nails because the previous set I had was "so long" I felt racially profiled. She told me she doesn't do long thick nails and I told her it would be fine I'll do short, she takes off my nails and tells me she likes to do thin nails because it looks more natural to which I respond by saying I don't normal get  mines natural I guess  she then starts spewing off to the other nail techs upset and then tells me she can't do my nails because she can't do my nails how I want. I try to explain to her and the others that it's ok I don't mind her doing my nails in which she feels she can do them ! She continued to insist that she not do my nails to the others, it was so embarrassing, she at one point told the other tech to help her as if I was being confrontational. After she removed my nails I kindly left. I never felt so unwanted and unwelcome
